intent is magnetic
For a few years now, I’ve been holding to the intention of living the dream of this land and following through on the guidance I’ve received, as much as I can. Sometimes it feels like trying to apply mascara while riding a rodeo bull, but I’m learning a lot about how intent works. Intent is magnetic because of magnetite. At one level it works as your personal GPS – your Gaian Positioning System – to let you know when you are on your path and if you stray off it. You can take the easy path or the hard way, they all lead to the same place, which is nowhere. There is no final destination for the Anthropos, but you can go nowhere more enjoyably when you go your own way. How do you know when you’re on the right path? Just follow your nose!
When you form an intention, you align yourself magnetically with the electromagnetic field of the earth. If you’ve taken the Gaian Tantra Vow, that’s what you did when you pricked your thumb for the ritual of iron-binding. There are, in fact, multiple magnetoreceptors in the human body and those of other animals; in how many ways does the Planetary Animal Mother bond with Her magical children? The answer is infinite – the more you look the more you find. This post is about how intent works through magnetite and the ethmoid bone.
The ethmoid bone at the roof of the nose, separates the nasal cavity from the cranium. It is a light, porous bone, containing a high concentration of magnetite. Magnetite is a mineral, also known as iron oxide. Iron combines very easily with oxygen, to form iron oxide and there are sixteen known iron oxides, but magnetite is not the kind found in ordinary rust. The sparks formed by a blacksmith striking hot iron are magnetite, caused by the rapid, exothermic oxidation of tiny particles of iron combining with oxygen, three molecules of iron to four of oxygen. It is the most magnetic of all the naturally occurring minerals on earth.
So, what is it doing in your body?
“Magnetite is the first truly novel material to be discovered as a biochemical precipitate in human tissues since the dawn of medical science-everything else in human bones and soft tissue is either diamagnetic or paramagnetic (e.g., Lowenstam and Weiner, 1989). Magnetite is also the only known metallic compound to be made by living organisms and has the highest electrical conductivity of any cellular material. Although the total amount of magnetite in an adult human is small (a few hundred micrograms), there are several million crystals per gram, each of which interact rather strongly with external magnetic fields. As effects at the cellular level can often lead to global effects, particularly in the neurological and immune systems, it is important for human health to know what this material is doing in human tissues and how it forms.”
Magnetite in Human Tissues: A Mechanism for the Biological Effects of Weak ELF Magnetic Fields
Magnetite is not considered to be an essential mineral for humans, it’s not even recognised as a trace mineral. However, trace levels of biogenic magnetite (biologically generated magnetite) are to be found in almost all human tissues, including the brain. High-resolution transmission electron microscopy measurements imply the presence of a minimum of 5 million single-domain crystals per gram for most tissues in the brain and greater than 100 million crystals per gram in parts of the meninges that connect to the central nervous system.
Studies with birds, salmon, trout and honey bees have shown that magnetite helps them align with the magnetic field of the earth. It is presumed that this is used for migration and navigation. Other studies have found that magnetotactic bacteria which contain biogenic bacteria and live in water, are able to swim to the magnetic north in the northern hemisphere and the magnetic south in the southern hemisphere. These magnetogenic bacteria contain perfect magnetite crystals and have been found in al the creatures that have been studied for sensitivity to the earth’s magnetic field and have also been found in human tissue. Magnetoreception is established as fact in all major animal groups and it is now being considered that many higher organisms, including humans, have the ability to form magnetite through biomineralization. In other words, these bacteria are tiny biochemical factories operating throughout your body to breakdown iron and oxygen and make it into magnetite. Is that just so you can find your way home? May be so and in more ways than one.
Biogenic magnetite is ferrimagnetic. That means that it can be polarised to absorb or shield. Ferrimagnetic magnetite is used to shield microwave ovens. The significance of biogenic magnetite has been considered with regard to potential vulnerability to harmful EMFs, but the possibility that it might be intentionally polarised in the body to shield from harmful EMFs has not been considered. This is a subject for further investigation.
Magnetite used to be known as lodestone and pieces of lodestone suspended on a string served as the first magnetic compasses and were used in China as early as 300 BC. When freely suspended on a string, a small piece of lodestone will align itself with Earth’s magnetic field.
Ethmoid bone: the Gaian Positioning System
The ethmoid bone is at the top of the nose, behind the bridge. You can’t feel it with your fingers, but it can make itself known to you with a particular kind of pressure; I’ve discovered that this pressure is subjectively calibrated to intent. When I formed the intention to live the dreaming of this land, it was a voluntary act of independent will (iron) in which I aligned my feeling senses, alchemically generated by oxygen, to the electromagnetic field of the earth. I didn’t make the connection with magnetite initially, but I started to notice this strange pressure deep inside the bridge of my nose when I thought about certain topics.
Interestingly, the features of the ethmoid bone have names like: rooster’s comb (crista galli), labyrinth, concha (snail shell). It connects directly with the dura in the meninges of the brain, that also has a high concentration of magnetite.
The first time I noticed the ethmoid bone, I felt as if my nose was moving across my face; it literally pulled me out the door to a group of rocks that I’d not paid any attention to previously. I noticed their distinctive markings and looked them up and discovered they were serpentinite. From there I discovered that I live on the Eastern Galicia Magnetic Anomaly and that the ancients called Galicia, Ophiussa, the Land of Serpents. Serpentinite gets its distinctive colouring from magnetite, of course.
In humans, magnetite works as a compass for the psyche, as well as a navigational aid for basic directions, because we have the capacity for independent free will.
You can test this function of the ethmoid bone for yourself by forming an intention. An intention is a desired plan of action, with the commitment to follow through with it. You can form an intention about anything you like, but the more your intent aligns with the intent of the earth, the stronger the magnetic attraction that you will feel in the ethmoid bone. Additionally, as you make choices in your day-to-day life, you might become more aware of this pressure and that it fluctuates. For me, when I’m aligned with intent and come to a fork in the road and need to make a choice, the pressure in my ethmoid intensifies when I focus on the better option. The mental commitment to act is usually accompanied by a burst of insight that I hadn’t thought of before and that makes following through with the action easier.
Intent in Correction
This is a critical time for the Rhomay, a dark night in rough terrain. I’ve found that living intentionally is the only way I can balance the gnawing feeling in my gut, that tells me that I should be doing SOMETHING about the situation and the input from my senses, showing me that everything I need to do is right here. The great paradox for the Rhomay is that the drive for individual responsibility and self-reliance is both a strength and a weakness – it has birthed civilizations but succumbed to exploitation. This paradox is ever-present in the ancient history of these lands, where the rocks tell tales. It took around 500 years before the fierce, freedom-loving, skilled and self-reliant Celtic tribes were conquered by the well-organized, disciplined and persistent Romans. Ultimately, it was Christianity that did them in. Everyday I ask myself: what can I do to turn this around?
The only answer I have is to bind myself into the dreaming power of the place where I live and act according to the guidance I receive, even when I don’t know where it will take me. The force of intent flows as an electrifying current, from the magnetic field of the earth directly into the brain and nervous system of anyone who activates it as a sovereign individual. It is one way in which the Planetary Animal Mother is able to reach into your life, to spark new ideas that arise from Her desire to correct the course of Her experiment. It feels like a subtle dance, in which I’m not sure when I’m leading or being led and with a few body slams, when I go off-piste into the hinterland of desire not aligned with my intent. It seems to me that the strength of the Rhomay lies in the uniquely individual ways in which we can act with intent, while surrendering to the supernatural organizing intelligence of the Aeon Sophia. And how do you distinguish between true guidance and the plastic parachutes of the fantastic imagination? You have to jump to find out.
If you’re willing to consider that intent is electromagnetic, then it must be affected by the earth’s magnetic field. The Grand Solar Minimum, the weakening magnetic field of the earth and the increase in cosmic rays are all presented as evidence for a coming mini-ice age and, for sure, you’d be blind not to notice the increase in extreme weather events and the changing seasonal patterns – the rain in Spain falls mainly everywhere, these days. None of the commentators on these events show any willingness to consider the possibility that the earth and sun are conscious creatures and that, seeing as they’ve managed to support life on earth for eons, perhaps they might know what they are doing now? It’s all just repeating cycles, without intentional intervention. That’s the key word here, isn’t it? Intent. Can you contemplate intent without your mind reaching for Jupiter? Did you notice a twinge in your ethmoid bone at that precise moment?
Thelete, the Intended, is emanating through Jupiter and one effect of this is the amplification of intent. Jupiter’s magnetic field is at least 10 times that of the earth. Some scientists have proposed that Jupiter’s Great Red Spot gets its distinctive colouring through iron oxide, but this is not settled science. It is agreed that for the past 150 years the GRS has been contracting and getting taller – reaching out. NASA’s Elizabeth Zubritsky, describes it thus:
“It’s almost like clay being shaped on a potter’s wheel.”
Clay gets its distinctive colouring, red, yellow and grey from the its differing iron oxide content.
In 2016, the European Space Agency’s SWARM satellites identified a ‘molten iron jet stream’ in the northern hemisphere, mostly under Alaska and Siberia that is moving at roughly 50km a year southwards, towards Europe. In 2017, a corresponding ‘supersonic plasma jet stream’ in the upper atmosphere was discovered, which is said to be heating the outer ionosphere to temperatures near 10,000°C.
“Weirdly enough, thanks to some other recent observations from the Swam satellites, we now know that similar systems are at play both in Earth’s upper atmosphere and deep inside its liquid outer core.
Back in December, the ESA team announced that their Swam satellites had detected an accelerating river of molten iron some 3,000 km (1,864 miles) below the surface of Earth, under Alaska and Siberia.
They found that this 420-km-wide (260-mile) jet stream had tripled in speed in less than two decades, and is currently headed towards Europe.
Like the supersonic plasma jets that are zooming through our upper atmosphere, this fast-moving jet of molten iron is directly related to Earth’s magnetic fields.
Differences in temperature, pressure, and composition within the outer core create movements and whirlpools in the liquid metal, and together with Earth’s spin, they generate electric currents, which in turn produce magnetic fields.”
Science can’t tell us very much about any interaction between the Earth and Jupiter, or of any effect that their magnetic fields have on life on this planet. You don’t have to believe anything, because you can direct intent and experience through the magnetite in your nose.
