Inability to do what you want to do, is not caused by lack of will power, or inherent weakness, it is primarily due to unresolved emotional issues that have generated unhelpful habits. Bringing your emotions into harmony is vital for your own health and regeneration and to clear your perception, so that your behaviour and actions can be in accordance with your desire and intention. Acting out of emotional turmoil is a good way to use a lot of energy to achieve nothing very useful in the longer run – and there will be many, many re-runs. But controlling emotions, just creates a dam that will inevitably burst. I use the word ‘harmony’ specifically, to bring to mind the music of a clear mountain stream; there is energy and power, but it always flows. Easier said than done though, isn’t it? How do you let go of the emotions you don’t want, the ones that quite literally make you sick, so that you can develop healthier and happier habits? One way is with water – it’s not a metaphor for emotions, it is the source, the memory and the solution.
Do you feel it in your waters?
Recent research has
proven what animists and healers have always known: that water has
memory and the ability to communicate. But what does it remember?
How and what does it communicate? What does this mean for humans and
other life forms?
Prof. Dr. Bernd Kröplin of the Stuttgart Water Research Centre in Germany, photographs droplets of water as they dry under a darkfield microscope to show that water from different sources have unique patterns. When put in contact with information and living things the water droplets form new patterns that can be correlated to the exposure. His research has also shown that water exchanges information and influences other water, over a distance of around 1.5M.
The images below show how Berlin water reacts differently to water from the Ganges and local water.
Kröplin’s work confirms the earlier work of Dr Masaru Emoto, on how water responds to intention, emotion, words, symbols and music, as well as that of other researchers who have shown how water is affected by EMFs, mobile phones, microwaves etc. Kröplin concludes that, as adult humans are around 70% water, we are all participating in an involuntary and uncontrollable ‘channel of perception’ whenever we come into proximity with another human, or indeed, any other life form. More information can be found on the professor’s website: www.worldinadrop.com. It’s well worth a look.
So, water holds information about things its come into contact with and communicates this information to other water, including the water in human bodies. When you consider how water is treated in its journey from source to body, you really have to question what information it is sharing. It seems quite obvious that some of the distress and unease we feel at times originates from the water itself. We amplify that distress with our own emotions and unknowingly spread it like a disease to other life forms and back to the rivers, oceans, lakes and streams and all the underground waterways. And on it goes, a vicious vortex! The emotional body of the earth, Her waters, resonate with our turmoil, as well as all the other filth and pollution.
This documentary summarises the recent research and begins to ask some of these questions:
Healing the Waters is a way to break that cycle. Some indigenous peoples still conduct ceremonies and rituals to heal the waters of the Earth, just as their ancestors have done since the beginning of time and our water would have suffered more without their efforts. The children of Europa had these practices stripped from our collective memory before time was recorded. However, as it happens, the magical children of the Wisdom Goddess have already recovered this knowledge and you can hear the music returning to the waters of our homelands, if you listen carefully. If you can hear it, then this is your work. Water rituals are real – they work whether you believe in them or not. All the waters on this planet, biological and terrestrial, need healing and it’s something that anyone can do, anywhere, without any special skills, alone or with others.
Fear and Water
No one knows for
sure where earth’s water came from, but some of it originated in
the cold silence of space and was present in the earliest days of the
earth’s formation. The first memory of those pristine waters must
have been part of the original trauma of the Aeon Sophia as She
transformed into the planet. Is this why the emotion most often
associated with water is fear?
The interrelatedness of the elements, the seasons, the celestial bodies and the human body can still be found in Traditional Chinese Medicine; the water element is associated with winter and the kidney and bladder organs. In addition to the physical function of the kidneys, the Chinese consider the kidney organ system (including the adrenal glands) to be the ‘Minister of Power ‘and the ‘Root of Life’, as they are the storehouse of original qi. Weak kidney energy is considered to be causative factor in immune deficiency and feelings of fear and paranoia and strong kidney energy generates courage and willpower. In the Chinese system, the kidney and bladder meridians and organs are paired, as kidney fire vitalizes the system and separates the pure aspects of water from the impure. Contaminated water is transported to the bladder for storage and elimination and purified water is reused. It is well known that fear can cause involuntary urination, but the idea that, in some cases, fear can be emanating from the water itself is not considered.
The notion that the anthropine creature only has has senses and abilities that can be measured by scientific instruments is, of course, utter nonsense. All our senses and organs have occult functions that operate subconsciously, until recognized and trained. Kidneys, shaped like ears and connected to the ears in TCM, hear the shape of water and decode the information held in the form. For water, the shape is the memory. Nervous bladder can be for several reasons; sometimes it is a response to the resonance of stressed water caused by being in proximity to some one who is anxious or in fear (even though they might not be aware of it). If you have difficulty maintaining your emotional balance when faced with intense emotion in another, a problem for empaths and sensitives, you probably have a nervous bladder too. Rather than an irritation, that’s a sign that you are primed to heal the waters and you will find it easy to use ‘occult kidney energy’ to change the state of your own waters and other waters around you. The senses and organs are not just receptive; you are always changing material reality through your perception, not by what you think, but how you feel.
Freya, one of our dogs and my recently appointed teacher, (see: Yellow dock: badger medicine for a new story) demonstrated the water fear factor with the simple eloquence of her own body, over the past few months. She had become quite urinary incontinent – she would wake up in a puddle. I went through various courses of treatment, flaxseed for her hormones, St John’s Wort for her nerves and spine, Plantago Hommacord to support her immune system, apple cider vinegar and kelp for infection, walnut tincture for parasites and sulphur for pain. If she gets agitated, usually because there is some kind of energy around that she picks up and we are not aware of (such as when people show up with entities attached to them) I corect her chakras and sometimes give her a teaspoon of Melissa tea, which is calming and naturally sedative. Everything helped a little and the puddles shrank, but they didn’t disappear. We began looking for the behavioral patterns and noticed that they were worse when Dean came back from town, when people visited or even when we talked about certain subjects and she became anxious or excited. I found that if I reset her root chakra on these occasions the leaks stopped completely. (See: Grinding Gears and the Killer Chakra for the chakra correction process.) There was never anything wrong with her in this regard; when we calmed her down her body naturally expelled the contaminated water that did not ‘fit’ with her relaxed state – just as Kröplin had shown with the Berlin and Ganges water. Now, I hardly ever have to reset her root chakra. I feel a great love for the water and Freya for taking on the fear and revealing it, I thank them and it dissolves.
of the fear that flows around the planet is unconscious
didn’t arise out of your own experience, but
it affects your experience.
Some of it arises out of the water itself – for sure, most of the
waters of the earth are treated with the utmost disrespect. It’s
all real fear and it keeps you in a stressed state that weakens your
will and blinds you to what you are capable of within you own life.
Healing the Waters and
dissolving fear is a simple, effective and free way to help yourself,
others and the Earth. No
belief required, you get to know that it works through doing it and
observing what shows up.
You cannot fail. The innocence of the future has already caused this to happen.
Water Ceremonies and Rituals
There is no set format for a water ceremony and any act you repeat is a ritual. However, there are a few matters to take into consideration:
anticipate results, with a kind of open-hearted excitement and pay attention. Usually, you will get some sign or evidence that your ceremony has been effective within 72 hours.
make an offering as part of your ritual or ceremony. Feeling gratitude to the water and ‘sending it love’ is a redundant thought-based projection. The act of making an offering shows gratitude.
focus on feeling and the information you receive from your senses. How do you feel when you drink certain water, or bathe in it? What does it taste like? What is the smell? How does that change following your ritual or ceremony?
timing is everything. It’s obvious that moon phases have an effect on water and so does solar activity. Affecting physical matter through intention, and the aim of a healing water ceremony is to change the shape of the water molecule, is most effective when the earth’s magnetic field is agitated. Coronal Mass Ejections, that release plasma create better conditions for this kind of work than solar flares and the window of opportunity is just before or when the CME bursts, not when it reaches the earth’s atmosphere. (See the work of Dr Stanley Krippner and Amyr Amiden for more on this.)
don’t swear at the rain!
only do this work with others that you feel completely relaxed and comfortable with, otherwise you’ll just make each other and the water feel worse. It’s not a judgment, it’s just a recognition of the fact that that is not the work for you to do together at that time.
you can restructure your drinking water by recognizing that you would not be alive without water and feeling genuine gratitude towards it. (It is still necessary to filter or distill most tap water before drinking it. I’m not consciously aware enough to take this time for our water, so I use our water structuring discs, that are available here.)
If you love some one and you recognize that you are loving the water in them, as well as all the elements and minerals in them that they bring together in a unique and beautiful pattern – just watch what happens!
I’d really like to hear about your ceremonies and how they’ve worked out.
What is the effect
of our collective consciousness on the waters of the planet and the
In the Chinese view,
water is the most yin of the elements and its season is winter
because this is when nature sleeps and dreams of replenishment.
According to The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine:
“In winter all is hidden. Winter is the season of retirement into depth, because of the cold outside. At this time you must not disturb or disperse the yang (Fire, active) energy so that you can allow the yin reserves to be re-established within you.”
Is there a connection between the length and harshness of winter and the intensity of yin energy stored in the waters, including the inhabitants, of a region? I think so. I don’t accept the inevitability of the Grand Solar Minimum based on past models, because they do not recognize that the Earth and the Sun are ‘alive’ and have their own consciousness and interact with each other, and neither do they take human consciousness into account.
Five years ago, I made a batch of yellow dock root tincture, for no
reason at all at the time. It sat stewing silently in the back of my
medicine cabinet, waiting for the moment to make its debut. That
came in early spring this year, when Freya had a digging frenzy in
the garden. She’s not much of a digger usually, so after one
especially strenuous effort, I went out to inspect her work. You
guessed right! She had dug up an enormous yellow dock and was
chewing on the root.
Freya is a rescue dog, so we don’t know her history, but all animals, including humans, will self-medicate given the chance. We do know that she had a full slew of vaccinations just before we got her and when she arrived here, her back was severely hunched and her back legs were stiff, almost paralyzed. She couldn’t run. I suspect that the rabies vaccination was involved, as the shelter did not mention that she had had an injury or any problems before she came to us. Her back eventually straightened, but she still sticks her hind legs out to the side when she runs. She also has other health challenges and some difficulty in managing her emotions.
However, this post isn’t about Freya’s various conditions and how
we treat them; I’m aiming to show how the process of guidance and
learning unfolds when working with a plant teacher, how to work with
the resources available and how perception shifts.
According to Culpeper’s Complete Herbal, all the docks are governed by Jupiter and yellow dock is turning out to be a quite outstanding teacher plant.
“Government and virtues. All docks are under Jupiter, of which the red dock, which is commonly called blood-wort, cleanseth the blood, and strengthens the liver; but the yellow dock-root is best to be taken when either the blood or liver is affected by choler. All of them have a kind of cooling (but not all alike) drying quality, the sorrel being most cold, and the bloodworts most drying. Of the burdock, I have spoken already by itself. The seed of most of the other kinds, whether the gardens or fields, do stay lasks and fluxes of all sorts, the loathing of the stomach through choler, and is helpful for those that spit blood. The roots boiled in vinegar helpeth the itch, scabs, and breaking out of the skin, if it be bathed therewith. The distilled water of the herb and roots have the same virtue, and cleanseth the skin from freckles, morphew, and all other spots and discolourings therein.”
It’s imperative not to lose your nerve when working with animals. I
don’t take our animals to the vets (accidents and neutering aside)
not because I feel confident in treating them, but because there is
no other choice. Vets, just like doctors, are trained by corrupt
institutions into a system that does more harm than good – yes, I
know your vet is a wonderful, caring individual, especially when it
comes to his/her bank account. The vast majority are not caring
enough to question the dogma of injecting our animals with harmful
substances for questionable diseases. (See:
They are incapable of treating the injuries and ongoing disease
they have inflicted until they recognize that vaccinations cause many
of the problems. Animals are the most excellent teachers of the
healing arts, Sophia’s emissaries, no less.
I hadn’t even considered giving Freya yellow dock, but dogs don’t lie, so I dug out the tincture and gave her a few drops immediately. I also began taking it myself, so I could get the feel of it from the inside as I began observation and research.
Yellow dock (Rumex crispus): identfication and use
Yellow dock is named after its root, which is yellow and is the part of the plant with the most therapeutic benefit. It is said that the leaves can be eaten, and I’ll put a few young ones in our wild juice now and then for a hint of bitter-sour if there aren’t any dandelion or milk thistle leaves around, but not that often as the oxalates in the leaves interfere with mineral absorption in large amounts and it’s just not worth the bother. It’s the root that I’m interested in.
Docks and sorrels are classified as Rumex and are part of the buckwheat, Polygonaceae family, commonly referred to as the knotweed family. They are native to Europe, but have naturalised in most temperate parts of the world. There are several kinds of dock plant, but the one of greatest therapeutic benefit is yellow dock, also known as curly dock. It goes by the botanical name of Rumex crispus due to the wavy edges of its long pointed leaves. It is easily confused with Rumex obtusifolius, aka broad leaved dock or butter dock. The plants have different habitat preferences; yellow dock likes verges, borders and edges and broad leaved dock likes to be the middle of things and its leaves are distinctively tougher and more bitter. I don’t know how the two plants compare biochemically, but these differences tell me that one cannot be substituted for the other.
Traditionally, yellow dock root is harvested in late summer/autumn after the seeds turn red. This allows for the plant to achieve maturity and for the seeds to propagate. It is generally considered to be a perennial plant, in that it will usually live for more than two years, if conditions allow. Obviously, when you dig up a plant for its roots, that’s it for that plant, so letting it seed first ensures that there will be future plants. I don’t think there is likely to be any shortage of yellow dock anytime soon, although the population density does vary from year to year. This year is a big yellow dock year – they are everywhere. I harvested in the autumn first, but I’ve just dug up some more in late spring, by the waning moon so that its energy has gone into the roots.
When it comes to deep learning relationships with plant teachers, I prefer getting to know them where they grow and then working with tinctures and sun oils. I use infusions and salves for tonics, refreshment and minor ailments, rather than learning. Time of harvesting does make a difference to the effectiveness of the medicine, particularly with regard to the season, the time of day and the relationship between the planets and the moon. I don’t reduce the plant material to ash for reincorporation in tinctures, because I don’t have the equipment and I see this process as depicting what goes on in the cauldron of your own hermetic vessel. The conjunction of spagyrics, plant alchemy, is the recombination of the essence or spirit of the plant, with your DNA, which transpires in your belly.
Yellow Dock, Anthraquinones, Hydrogen Peroxide and Detoxification
Before using it, I had the general view that Yellow dock root was for the liver, gall bladder and digestive system. It’s such a strong plant that I’d naturally thought that its medicine is best kept for severe issues, but it is actually very mild and safe. Some sites say that it shouldn’t be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women, because of its anthraquinones, but senna has a higher anthraquinone content and is considered safe for occasional use during pregnancy. Much is made of yellow dock’s mild laxative effect, but you’d probably have to take a lot more than I did for that to be even noticeable.
We started with a half-dropper twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon when the bladder and kidney meridians become active (3-7pm). It has a bitter taste, typical of plants that support the gall bladder and liver, that was more unpleasant to us human guinea pigs than it was to Freya. After her first dose, she relaxed into a trance-like state. She is very sensitive and this is her usual response to something that works for her, as her brain and body process the new information. Over the next few days her ravenous appetite diminished slightly, along with her aggression. Her natural demeanor is sweet and playful, but the bouts of candidiasis, UTIs and digestive issues make her irritable at times. Then I noticed something odd.
After taking the yellow dock root tincture for a couple of weeks, sitting down one evening I caught an unmistakable whiff of hydrogen peroxide. I could not work out where it was coming from, I couldn’t even tell whether it was internal or external to my own body! It turns out that yellow dock contains anthraquinones, which are used in the industrial production of hydrogen peroxide and it’s quite likely that they are also involved in making hydrogen peroxide in the body. Why would the body make its own hydrogen peroxide?
“[P]eroxides are ubiquitous in living systems (again see the Halliwell paper). In higher life forms H2O2 is produced in vivo by monoamine oxidase, xanthine oxidases, various dismutases, and other enzymes, under homeostatic control. There’s substantial evidence that hydrogen peroxide is a widely used signaling molecule (see references 21 to 26 in the Halliwell paper) and recent work has shown a role for hydrogen peroxide in reparative neovascularization. Recruitment of immune cells to wounds likewise appears to require hydrogen peroxide.
Far from being toxic, hydrogen peroxide is an important biomolecule, essential to ordinary metabolic processes. There is zero evidence that hydrogen peroxide does anything harmful in living tissues, at the concentrations normally found in vivo.”
writer goes on to give his theory as to why scientific dogma
sustains, regardless of the evidence:
“Why do myths like this take hold in science? Why do otherwise intelligent scientists cling to them and perpetuate them, regurgitating them in textbooks and handing them down to new generations of students?
I think the answer is, because it makes a good story, and as human beings we value a good story more than we value checking out the story to see if it’s true (providing it’s a suitably satisfying story).
Before there was science, stories were all the human race had as a way of trying to understand the universe. If someone told a good enough story, and the story provided a satisfying-enough explanation of something, the story endured. Some of humankind’s most cherished stories have survived for thousands of years. They survive, in many cases, even if they’re not verifiably true.
With science, the theory is the unit of storytelling. If a theory seems to fit the facts, it’s accepted. If, on closer inspection, a story is found not to fit the facts, it will still be accepted by many people, if it’s a satisfying enough story.”
I’m still left
‘story-less’ regarding the
function of hydrogen
peroxide in the body. Some
researchers conclude that it might be involved in the regulation of
renal function and as an antibacterial agent in the urine. Others
theorize that when the immune system is activated in response
to bacteria, large amounts of hydrogen peroxide are produced by
certain cells to fight the infection and that there is another
molecule, peroxiredoxin, that converts hydrogen peroxide back to
water if the levels get to high. In plants, hydrogen peroxide is
thought to play a key role in stress perception, signaling, and
acclimatization to metal toxicity.
Myopic scientists hang onto Darwin’s little tale like drowning
sailors in a sea of alphabet soup. Compared to their turgid
descriptions of interactions between bit-part players with long
names, Darwin’s story is a masterpiece. At least his characters
were alive. Internet research on any science related topic will take
you into an endless maze of dead-ends and side-tracks, paved with
fools gold. The facts presented are true enough within their limited
context, but they are only a facsimile of real life. You can put them
together in any way you want and find support for any theory you can
conceive, but that won’t make your story true. Interactions and
relationships that have been observed so meticulously in a
laboratory, by scientists pretending to have no effect on the outcome
of their experiments and totally ignorant of any effect their
experiments might have on themselves, do not describe what happens in
a living creature, with its unique ecology, experience and even
desires. So why bother with internet research? I think of it as
looking for the golden thread in the labyrinth. I scan the material
quickly, with open-minded scepticism, looking for what tweaks my
Hydrogen peroxide, the signaling molecule, had waved right up my nose. But what was the message? The very next day a friend from England arrived for a visit. She took the train from the airport to our local station and it was a bit late. She explained that they’d got held up in Os Peares, where she looked at an interesting mural, until a man came out of the station, put on a red hat, blew his whistle and waved a little red flag to signal the all clear for the train to move forward. She found that action immensely charming. I saw it as the message for Freight-Train-Freya, that we were on track yellow dock and had the all clear to continue working with it on what was fundamentally a clearing the way process.
Amongst herbalists, yellow dock is universally highly regarded and there are many sites that describe the kind of conditions it helps with. One of my favourite hard copy references is: The Energetics of Western Herbs, by Peter Holms. Here is an extract from his Notes on yellow dock:
“Yellow dock is one of the many members of the knotweed family found worldwide. Like them, the root of the various species of the yellow or narrow-leaf dock is used as an important resolvent detoxificant remedy. Because Yellow Dock chooses a variety of pathways for accomplishing the job of detoxification, it ensures good results across a brad spectrum of toxicosis conditions. Toxin elimination is comprehensively favoured through the liver, the kidneys and bladder, and the colon.
Primarily, however, Yellow dock root is a bitter digestive stimulant (and cholagogue) that operates by reducing Qi stagnation of the liver, gall bladder and intestines. Because of its dry, cold nature, the root is best used in individuals presenting liver congestion that tend to generate damp heat, typically seen with symptoms such as bilious headache, jaundice, fatty indigestion, chronic constipation and a tendency to food allergies. Its moderate yet certain laxative action is signalled by the anthraquinone glycosides. For the same reason the remedy relieves the symptoms of toxic heat, intestines damp heat and gastric ulcer, where Yellow dock’s anti-inflammatory and astringent actions engage.
Yellow dock at the same time is a kidney stimulant that reduces acidosis and bladder deposits, and promotes urination – where the anthraquinones are active. Its detoxicant and depurant diuretic action here reinforces the detoxicant digestive effect. The net result: an effective remedy for congestive disorders of the skin and lymph. Yellow dock releases wind damp and heat in the skin and therefore addresses a wide range of eczemas presenting itching, redness and vesicular suppuration. Swollen lymph glands likewise benefit from the remedy’s ultimate lymphatic decongestant action.
In the West Yellow dock has a particular reputation for treating anemia. It is also a fact that the root is high in minerals, including iron. However, we must guard against making the statement that Yellow dock literally “nourishes the blood” in the traditional sense of tonifying metabolic functions. Nothing could be further from the truth. The fact is that Yellow dock is clearly a draining, detoxicant remedy for prime use in congestive, hot and damp heat conditions – the exact opposite of what’s required when treating blood deficiency, which is essentially a weak condition.”
has this to say on the mineral content of Yellow dock:
“Yellow dock is a mineral-rich herb; it soaks up trace minerals from the soil and transposes them into an organic form that can easily be absorbed and herbalists of old used to sprinkle iron filings on the soil on which they grew Yellow Dock to treat anaemia and blood deficiency (my comment – the amounts of iron or other minerals in Yellow Dock are likely to be very modest in the doses we typically use, however its broader tonic effects on the liver and gut in turn enable a better absorption of nutrients from the diet and it may be this that has seen it be able to help in cases of anaemia and depletion)”
From an alchemical perspective, there is a golden thread to follow where ever inorganic minerals, especially metals, are involved in biological processes. For a number of years, I’ve been contemplating the notion that microbes and minerals are key to the detoxification/purification actions needed to render the internal terrain hostile to parasites of all types and dimensions. It’s one of the reasons why we wild juice every day. A compromised and stressed immune system, that is constantly trying to attack heavy metals, pathogens and foreign biological material in the bloodstream, which it was never designed to deal with, needs help. My insight on the action of iron in Yellow dock is that it’s not a nutrient, but it works with hydrogen peroxide as a kind of Fenton reaction in the body to clean out wastes. The Fenton reaction is used to clean industrial waste water, but is said to be damaging in living systems. That is just another story based on misunderstanding of the role of hydrogen peroxide and has never been observed in a living creature.
Badger Medicine –
the Keeper of Stories
To wrap up this post, I turned to another of my favourite reference books: The Earthwise Herbal, by Matthew Wood and this is what I found:
“The leaf of yellow dock is sour, like the leaves of its cousins sheep sorrel and garden sorrel. It is also somewhat astringent. In the root of the dock these tastes and properties are modified by the addition of bitters. Thus the plant is cooling (sour), binding or drying (astringent), cleansing, laxative and alterative (bitter). In terms of the doctrine of signatures, yellow dock is a yellow, man shaped root that helps downward movement in the digestive tract. This is a picture of a “badger medicine” in American Indian practice. My friend Kim Dudley, herbalist in Canberra, Australia, recognized the experience and commented from his experience, “Yellow dock is for excess badger energy.” That would be too much fire in the stomach and digestive tract, too much appetite and too much emotional energy.”
I could see Badger characteristics of aggression, persistence, quick to anger, a liking for solitude and willingness to fight for what you want in Freya, and also in myself. Badger is also said to be the keeper of the medicine roots and in some Native American myths is keeper of the stories.
In order to heal and regenerate, you need a story that is conducive to those aims. The mainstream narrative, regarding the inevitability of disease and degeneration that your body cannot repair, is a slow-acting poison on your unconscious mind, causing you to mistake signs of healing for symptoms of disease, so that you become an unwitting accomplice to your own demise. Yellow dock badger medicine goes right to the root of disease, freeing your mind from the false stories that inhibit your innate healing abilities as it detoxifies your body.
Freya has begun a new chapter in her story; for a long time she was ‘our problem child’ but now she is my teacher and some of her problems are beginning to ease (she has stopped digging in the garden too). I’ve also started a new chapter. I stopped doing therapy/healing work nearly five years ago, as there were other things I wanted to learn. Recently, I’ve been yearning to feel part of the community here, but it seemed like an impossible challenge as we don’t have cows or kids and barely speak the language. (The local dialects even vary from town to town.) Last week, I told Dean that I was thinking about returning to healing work, not working in a therapy rooms in town, but in a more organic way, somehow. The very next day I had three ‘clients’ here, one of whom is going to help me improve my Spanish, in return for me teaching her about the local healing plants.
Badger medicine digs deep and works fast!
At the beginning of the next shift, Zuby inexplicably made a bid for freedom and flew over the fence of the chicken pen. Izzy caught him immediately. Luckily, we got him back in and he lost only his tail feathers – and a nasty gash on his back. Not even, wounded pride. He actually seems quite proud of himself!
I was wondering how long to keep giving Freya the yellow dock root tincture and I took this as a sign to stop – Zuby, signalling a new ‘tale’ is on the way. Sure enough, a few weeks later and Freya appears, almost completely healed. See Healing the Waters for more info.
Pennyroyal, Mentha Pulegium, has a killer reputation. In relatively recent times, several women have died using pennyroyal to end unwanted pregnancies. One was a 23 year old English woman in 1897, who drank a tablespoon of pennyroyal essential oil to bring on menstruation and died four days later of multiple organ failure. In 1912, a 16 year-old girl from Maryland died after consuming 36 pennyroyal pills to induce abortion. In November of 1978, there were two cases of pennyroyal poisoning within four days at Denver General Hospital. The first was an 18 year-old woman, who drank an ounce of pennyroyal essential oil and died seven days later, not pregnant. In the second Denver case, a young woman took 10ml of pennyroyal essential oil (a little less than a tablespoon) and was discharged after two days, still pregnant. In 1994 a 24-year-old woman, died in California after drinking pennyroyal tea. At the time of her death, she unknowingly had an ectopic pregnancy and the autopsy was unable to confirm whether her death was as the result of the ectopic pregnancy or from pennyroyal poisoning.
How did these women find out about pennyroyal’s reputation as means of inducing a miscarriage? Is this ancient wisdom enshrined in phylogenetic memory? Or does pennyroyal have other abilities, perhaps involved in ‘switching on’ (or off maybe) certain memory files?
Most of the internet references to pennyroyal’s effectiveness as an abortifacient or emmanegogue come from the same sources. This is from Wikipedia and you’ll find it repeated word-for-word on multiple sites:
“Documented use of pennyroyal dates back to ancient Greek, Roman, and Medieval cultures. Its name – although of uncertain etymology – is associated with Latin pulex (flea), alluding to the manner it was used to drive away fleas when smeared on the body. Pennyroyal was commonly incorporated as a cooking herb by the Greeks and Romans. A large number of the recipes in the Roman cookbook of Apicius called for the use of pennyroyal, often along with such herbs as lovage, oregano and coriander. Although it was commonly used for cooking also in the Middle Ages, it gradually fell out of use as a culinary herb and is seldom used as such today.
Records from Greek and Roman physicians and scholars contain information pertaining to pennyroyal’s medicinal properties, as well as recipes used to prepared it. Pliny the Elder, in his encyclopedia Naturalis Historia (Natural History), described the plant as an emmenagogue, and that it also expelled a dead fetus.Galen only listed pennyroyal as an emmenagogue, as did Oribasius. Roman and Greek writers Quintus Serenus Sammonicus and Aspasia however both agreed that pennyroyal, when served in tepid water, was an effective abortive method. A medical text on gynecologyattributed to Cleopatra (though it was never written by her but by a female Greek physician Metrodora) recommends the use of pennyroyal with wine to induce abortions.
In regard to its contraceptive properties, it was referred to in a joking manner in Aristophanes‘ play Peace (421 BCE). The god Hermes provides the male character Trygaios a female companion; when Trygaios asks if there would be a problem if she became pregnant, Hermes responds, “Not if you add a dose of pennyroyal.”In a similar manner, in Aristophanes’ comedy Lysistrata, after a pregnant female character on stage is told to withhold her body sexually from her husband, a slender female character, in comparison to the pregnant woman, is described as “a very lovely land. Well croppy, and trimmed and spruced with pennyroyal.”
Pliny the Elder also stated that consuming powdered sow’s dung relieved labour pains. Not everything written in ancient times is true, or workable today. I haven’t found any evidence to support the notion that pennyroyal works as a contraceptive, but it should not be used in pregnancy as it does increase the risk of miscarriage. Many herbalists will confirm that it is reliable for period pain and related issues.
There are some reports that pennyroyal was an ingredient in kykeon, the psychoactive potion given to the initiates in the Eleusinian mysteries. It is still burned in South America as a ritual offering to Pachamama and is said to have magical powers of protection, or to bring prosperity.
According to Hildegard von Bingen, in her work Physica, written between 1150 and 1158:
“He who has pains in the brain so that he is ill should add pennyroyal to wine and boil it, and he should lay it on his head while still warm, and he should tie a cloth over this, so that the brain is warm and suppresses the madness in him.”
The little clumps of pennyroyal growing around here grab you by the nose as you walk by and spike your mind, triggering memories which might not even be your own. You can’t come close to getting a feel for how she works through scientific explanations, but I find that this excerpt from In The Country of the Pointed Firs, by Sarah Orne Jewett, (1910) leads you in the right direction:
“When the family pictures were wrapped again in a big handkerchief, we set forward in a narrow footpath and made our way to a lonely place that faced northward, where there was more pasturage and fewer bushes, and we went down to the edge of short grass above some rocky cliffs where the deep sea broke with a great noise, though the wind was down and the water looked quiet a little way from shore. Among the grass grew such pennyroyal as the rest of the world could not provide. There was a fine fragrance in the air as we gathered it sprig by sprig and stepped along carefully, and Mrs. Todd pressed her aromatic nosegay between her hands and offered it to me again and again.
“There ‘s nothin’ like it,” she said; “oh no, there ‘s no such pennyr’yal as this in the State of Maine. It’s the right pattern of the plant, and all the rest I ever see is but an imitation. Don’t it do you good?” And I answered with enthusiasm.
“There, dear, I never showed nobody else but mother where to find this place; ‘t is kind of sainted to me. Nathan, my husband, an’ I used to love this place when we was courtin’, and”—she hesitated, and then spoke softly—”when he was lost, ‘t was just off shore tryin’ to get in by the short channel out there between Squaw Islands, right in sight o’ this headland where we ‘d set an’ made our plans all summer long.”
I had never heard her speak of her husband before, but I felt that we were friends now since she had brought me to this place.
“‘T was but a dream with us,” Mrs. Todd said. “I knew it when he was gone. I knew it”—and she whispered as if she were at confession—”I knew it afore he started to go to sea. My heart was gone out o’ my keepin’ before I ever saw Nathan; but he loved me well, and he made me real happy, and he died before he ever knew what he ‘d had to know if we ‘d lived long together. ‘T is very strange about love. No, Nathan never found out, but my heart was troubled when I knew him first. There ‘s more women likes to be loved than there is of those that loves. I spent some happy hours right here. I always liked Nathan, and he never knew. But this pennyr’yal always reminded me, as I ‘d sit and gather it and hear him talkin’—it always would remind me of—the other one.”
Pennyroyal the healer
I’d been getting to know pennyroyal for a year or so, when some friends asked if I could help their cat. I’m not a trained herbalist, nor any kind of medical or veterinary professional, but when a friend asks for help I’ll do the best I can. Mostly, it has worked out well for all concerned, there is always a risk. The cat had a weak immune system, was probably in the early stages of kidney disease and had acute scabies that wasn’t responding to treatment. After careful research and discussing the risks and options, I gave the owners some of my own pennyroyal herbal oil for the scabies, as it is the fastest way of killing the mites, through contact with the active ingredient in the plant and through suffocation through the oil. A few days after the treatment, they reported back that the cat was much improved and was hunting again. I don’t know what happened in the interim but, a couple of months later, tragedy struck and the cat died unexpectedly of kidney failure.
Nothing was said at the time, but I did consider the possibility that I’d made a fatal error and I went back to research everything I could find on pennyroyal for cats. The consensus is pretty clear, pennyroyal ESSENTIAL OIL is highly toxic for cats and should never be given to them, but there’s no information about the herbal oil. I couldn’t find any instances of a cat ever having been poisoned by pennyroyal essential oil either, but then, how would you know? Most often, you find information ‘copied and pasted’ from one site to another, without it ever having been verified by a single one of them.
The effectiveness of all plants and herbs will vary according to the strain, where they grew, what time of the day or the month they were harvested and how they were stored and prepared. Therein lies the appeal of the standardised approach of systemised medicine and pharmaceuticals but, of course, life stubbornly refuses to comply. Every creature has their unique experience and circumstances and they will respond better to some plants rather than others and the decision as to what to use, what dose, how and when, can only be made on an individual case by case basis. The terrible truth, that every healer knows, is that, not only will you make mistakes, but you can also do everything correctly and still not get the desired outcome – fate is always waiting in the shadows and there are always those that you cannot work with. When the choice is between third party information or my own instincts, I have to follow my guidance and face the consequences.
That said, there is a HUGE difference between pennyroyal essential oil and pennyroyal herbal oil. I make herbal oil, or sun oil, is made by steeping the leaves and flowers of the plant in olive oil and leaving it in the sun for several weeks, so that the plant oils leech into the olive oil. I then discard the plant material and use the infused oil topically. Herbal oil is generally considered to be safe as it is nowhere near as concentrated as the essential oil. Essential oil, the kind you buy in small bottles, is made through an industrial process by pressure steaming the plant material and cooling the vapour so that the essence of the plant in the form of its oil separates from the water. (The water is sometimes sold as a floral water or hydrosol.) Essential oil can be hundreds or even thousands of times more potent than the plant in its natural form and the smaller molecules are more easily absorbed by the skin. The real danger to humans and other animals is from consuming pennyroyal essential oil, a standard 12ml bottle could be fatal. You would have to be pretty desperate to drink a bottle of essential oil. This can be an issue for animals, who will lick and groom themselves and I’d never use any essential oil on a cat. I wouldn’t use pennyroyal essential oil for any reason, but then the plant grows wild here.
Ancient alchemists are also said to gave used steam distillation as one method of releasing the essence of the plant – the plant spirit. However, what we are able to glean from surviving alchemical texts is a mere shadow of what would have been known before the intervention of Christianity. And today, the principles of alchemy can only be considered and tested in a very different time and context. I look at the alchemical images and I see that the oft depicted flask is the human body and the principles of mercury and sulphur are the yin and yang or the ida and pingala, the quintessence is intention. This perspective has crystallized as I’ve used pennyroyal, whose spirit is activated by human intention – to kill or to heal.
Pennyroyal herbal oil has become one of our regular home remedies for ourselves and the dogs. We use it by rubbing a little over the solar plexus area or lower abdomen and it has an immediate calming effect with an accompanying feeling of relaxed self-confidence. It helps Freya get through her frantic moments and seems to make it easy for Tulku and Izzy to give her the space to do that without reacting to her shenanigans. Freya, as a spayed, vaccinated dobermann with a docked tail (she’s a rescue dog), has the occasional urinary incontinence issues and pennyroyal herbal oil rubbed on her lower abdomen helps her with that too. It works instantly. I find it gives me mental clarityand a more balanced perspective on events and experiences. Often just sniffing it is sufficient, as the olfactory bulb is part of the central nervous system. We also drink the leaves as a digestive tea, which has a light, refreshing flavour, similar to mint, but more floral.
Prior to industrial processing, pennyroyal was considered an essential healing herb to have at home:
“This plant, which the God of nature has scattered over almost every part of this country, is one of the most valuable of the Thomsonian Materia Medica. Its qualities are a strong and hardy aromatic but pleasant smell, a warm and pungent taste. The medical principle resides in an essential oil, possessing the same smell and taste of the herb. Its medical properties are carminative, (having power to remove wind from the stomach and bowels,) stimulant, (possessing the property of exciting increased action in the system,) diaphoretic, (promoting moderate perspiration. ) It also relieves spasms, hysterics, promotes expectoration in consumptive coughs, and is a good medicine in the whooping cough. It is good also to take away marks and bruises in the face, being bruised in vinegar, and applied in fomentations.
A tea of this plant is perhaps the best drink that can be given, together with the composition powder, Cayenne, etc., to warm the stomach, and assist an emetic in its operations. The tea should be made and given warm, freely and frequently. A person upon taking a “bad cold,” (by the way, he never has a good one,) by taking freely of this tea may throw it off, and of course prevent fever, it being caused by cold. This is a popular remedy all over the country for female complaints; but still few persons are aware of its extensive medicinal properties.
The best time for gathering this herb is about the month of August. It should be tied up in bundles, and hung in a warm, dry, and shady place until dry; then wrapped in paper, as the best means of excluding the air, by which, if exposed, it will lose a large part of its strength and virtue. This plant, simple as it is, will do more in the curing of the sick than all the poisonous preparations invented since the age of Paracelsus; bleeding and blistering into the bargain. No family should let the season for gathering it pass without securing a good supply.”
A Guide to Health, Benjamin Colby, 1846
One of my ‘go to’ references for plant remedies is, The Energetics of Western Herbs: A Materia Medica Integrating Western and Chinese Herbal Therapeutics by Peter Holmes. Traditional Chinese Medicine and alchemy spring from the same root and are mostly concerned with the transformative effects of the movement of qi, through the cosmos, the earth and the body. You can’t perceive qi with your ordinary senses, but it leaves its footprint in the imagination – TCM practitioners are trained to ‘feel’ the movement of qi in the pulse for diagnostic purposes. In the broadest sense, imagination itself could be said to be the product of qi, which is the driver of what is called the placebo effect – your innate ability to heal yourself. Western medicine focuses on biological mechanics (the shen of TCM), with barely a nod to the psyche and no recognition at all of any interactions with the natural and supernatural worlds. But it has provided a great deal of validated scientific information regarding the cellular activity of plants and other organisms. If alchemical regeneration is to be found anywhere, it will be in the sweet-spot where these two approaches converge. I work with the wild plants around here, not just for their therapeutic effects, but because of how they work on my imagination. I like this book as it’s comprehensive and considers western plants from a TCM perspective.
This is part of what it has to say about pennyroyal:
“Caution: Being a uterine stimulant with mild neurotoxicity, Pennyroyal herb is contraindicated during pregnancy. Do not use this herb continuously (unlikely) at maximum doses because of its medium strength status.
The essential oil of Pennyroyal, which is extracted from both European and American types of pennyroyal, is contraindicated for internal use. It contains high levels of the ketone pulegone, which is neurotoxic. Note that American Pennyroyal (Hedeoma) has a higher content of pulegone than the European variety, and seems more spasmolytic on the sommoth muscles than its European counterpart.
Pennyroyal herb refers to the European and the two North American genera of pennyroyal. While Mentha pulegium is the botanical sourse of European pennyroyal, various Hedoema and Monardella species are the sources of American pennyroyal. The nature, functions and uses of all these are virtually identical.
Pennyroyal herb is a reliable woman’s remedy that particularly excels in menstrual and childbirth situations when events become painful, delayed and difficult. Like Blue cohosh root, the herb is both actively uterine stimulant and relaxant, and so appropriate for both weak and tense types of conditions. As a stimulant emmenagogue, Pennyroyal treats functional amenorrhea; as a spasmolytic, it treats spasmodic dysmenorrhea; both conditions are seen in the syndrome uterus Qi stagnation with constraint. “It is an antispasmodic nervine and will be found valuable in dysmennorrhea in nervous ladies, and is of good service in hysteria” (LYLE 1897). “Hysteria” today would be described as PMS.
Pungent, bitter and aromatic in quality, Pennyroyal herb is also a stimulant to digestive and respiratory functions. It acts as an excellent cholagogue, aperitive and relaxant in treating upper digestive stagnation and will improve the appetite. In children, Catnip or Fieldmint would be complementary herbs. In the syndrome lung phlegm-cold-damp, the herb is a good mucolytic expectorant for chronic forms of bronchitis and asthma.
Similar to Vervain herb, when drunk hot Pennyroyal herb is a vasodilatant diaphoretic and will cause sweating and dispel wind-heat colds and flus. It will also promote the appearance of eruptions in eruptive fevers.
In the words of MAUD GRIEVE (1931): “Pennyroyal is often found in cottage gardens, as an infusion of the leaves, known as Pennyroyal Tea, is an old-fashioned remedy for colds and menstrual derangements.” It was often combined with Mugwort herb for both these conditions.
In North African countries such as Morocco, European pennyroyal has been given for untold years for heatstroke. Where heatstroke or fever threatened to cause spasms or seizures – signs of internal wind – Pennyroyal is still the right remedy. A sweetened infusion of the herb would be a useful preventive of children’s spasms or convulsions, for example. Here, like Melissa leaf of Lavender flower, Pennyroyal can act as gentler, milder version of Lobelia herb or Yellow jessamine root (Gelsemium).”
As I began writing this post, after an interlude of nearly two years, the owners of the cat who passed away decided to inform me of my negligence in giving them pennyroyal essential oil for their cat, which I hadn’t done. Uncomfortable though that was, what stopped me dead in my tracks was that, the night before ‘the accusation’ I dreamed about it happening in exquisite detail. I had the strange, intense, trance-like feeling that I’ve experienced on many occasions in my life, that I’m beginning to think of as a pull from the future. Pennyroyal was reaching into my dreams, making connections in my brain and I felt that I was being guided. Clearly, pennyroyal had more to tell.
The dose makes the poison, Paracelsus
Pulegone: insecticide and archonticide
The primary active ingredient in pennyroyal is pulegone. Pulegone is a type of terpene. Terpenes are organic plant compounds that give them each their distinctive smell, through various combinations in each type of plant. Pennyroyal contains a dozen or so terpenes in all, which are also found in other plants. For example, rosemary has a high terpinene content, which gives turpentine its signatory smell and is also found in different amounts in apple, cumin, lilac and tea tree. Rosemary contains more terpinene than pulegone, but it is pulegone that gives rosemary its memory enhancing capabilities. The art and science of perfume making is all about terpenes.
Pennyroyal aka fleabane, or flea mint, (from Mentha Pulegium, deriving from the latin pulex, meaning flea) is a member of the Lamiaceae family of herbs, commonly known as the mint family. It was originally called the Labiatae family, because the flowers have petals fused into an upper and lower lip – how very rude! Other members of this family are: thyme, mint, oregano, basil, sage, savory, rosemary, self-heal, hyssop lemon balm and catnip. The main terpenes in catnip, Nepeta cataria, are nepetalactone and pulegone, with a higher concentration of nepetalactone than pulegone – catnip is safe for cats. Pennyroyal has the highest concentration of pulegone in the Lamiaceae family, which makes it harmful in large amounts.
In nature, pulegone protects the plant, and other plants in the immediate vicinity, from being eaten by insects. Plants from the Lamiaceae family can help keep bugs away from windows, doorways and outdoor seating areas. Clearly, it is one reason why pennyroyal is also known as fleabane. It is sometimes used in flea collars for cats and dogs, but these can be toxic too. Just because something is natural doesn’t mean that it’s safe, especially if you don’t know the amounts and combinations of other ingredients.
Pulegone has been quite well-studied because of its nootropic potential. The human brain’s most abundant neurotransmitter is acetylcholine, which assists in carrying signals across the nerve synapses and is essential for muscle stimulation, sleep regulation, memory formation, mental health and protecting the brain from neurological decay. Acetycholine is produced in short bursts throughout the brain, the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system and is almost immediate broken down into acetic acid and choline by the enzyme acetylcholinesterase. Pulegone is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, meaning that it prevents acetylcholinesterase from destroying acetycholine, so that more of it is available to be used by the brain and nervous system. Acetycholinesterase inhibitors are considered beneficial for Alzheimers and other forms of cognitive impairment. However, pulegone doesn’t have star quality as a pharmaceutical, because of its toxicity when consumed and because of a special quality that doesn’t allow it to be reliably synthesized. That quality is its chirality.
In chemical terms, terpene molecules are described as enantiomers, which are simple types of optical isomers. This refers to their ability to spin plane polarised light in either a clockwise or an anti-clockwise direction. When you see chemical references to pulegone, the clockwise direction is denoted by (+) and the anti-clockwise direction (-). The chemical structure of (-) and (+) molecules are the same, but the arrangement is different, so that each molecule is unique – in much the same way as your hands are of the same structure, but mirror each other in such as way that one cannot ever be a substitute for the other. In naturally occurring pulegone, there will be a mix of (-) and (+) molecules that cannot be replicated in a laboratory. The laboratory product will always have equal (-) and (+) molecules and can never reproduce the biochemical, or its effects, as it works in nature.
So, what does all this mean? My direct experience is that pennyroyal/pulegone has the dual effect of enhancing some cognitive and memory based functions and filtering out others. It does this biochemically and electromagnetically/optically, through the combination of acetylcholinesterase inhibition and biophoton modulation – in simple terms, it recalibrates the blinkers! All mammalian brains produce biophotons and scientists are currently exploring the possibilities that the brain might have optical communication channels, although they apparently have no idea what could be communicated!
Polarized light navigation is used by bats, bees and other insects to forage and find their way home. The mantis shrimp communicates with other shrimp through polarized light signaling, that is invisible to other creatures. Aphids can see the different polarization patterns in infected plants and are attracted to them as diseased plants have a diminished ability to raise any biochemical defense. Pulegone spins light in such a way as to have an antifeedant action on the aphids, which is what makes it such an effective insecticide and, in accordance with the principle of correspondence, it works in the same way with the mind parasite.
I found that applying pennyroyal herbal oil on my skin, or just sniffing it, made it easier to see when I was going into self-doubt or mental looping, worrying over what might happen, or over analysing past actions and to replace that destructive pattern with creative thoughts and actions. In other words, using the power of my imagination to create what I don’t want, rather than using it correctly and intentionally. Pennyroyal herbal oil helps me clarify and focus my attention, so that I can see the ‘infected’ pathway that is ‘not me’ and choose to ‘not feed’ that self-destructive pattern. The mind parasite’s primary weapon is its invisibility – it has no defenses and no materiality of its own. It can only exist by co-opting your neurophysiology and once you recognize its pathology, in that split-second when you choose a different path, it’s game over. And that is the ‘archonticidal effect’ of pulegone. Once you see it in yourself, you can also see how it operates as a self-destructive process in others and how it recruits them into becoming unwitting agents of the enemies of life – more on that in a later post.
Sekhmet gives us pennyroyal, at her best in the fierce August sun, imbued with Her ability to kill or to heal, Her great affinity for women’s issues and a particular relationship with cats. Pennyroyal works especially well with the solar plexus to bring courage to will.
A curious fact about pulegone is that it prevents corrosion of steel. (Effect of pulegone and pulegone oxide on the corrosion of steel. Steel is mostly iron and carbon, so it’s not much of a metaphysical hop to consider that pulegone might also protect the individual will from the corrosive effects of a sick society. If might be fanciful, but I have the distinct impression that pennyroyal can ‘abort’ the false self, which can be risky if that’s all you have.
Pennyroyal Tea, Nirvana, 1993
I’m on my time with everyone
I have very bad posture
Sit and drink Pennyroyal Tea
Distill the life that’s inside of me
Sit and drink Pennyroyal Tea
I’m anemic royalty
Give me a Leonard Cohen afterworld
So I can sigh eternally
I’m so tired and I can’t sleep
I’m anemic royalty
I’m a liar and a thief
I’m anemic royalty
I’m on warm milk and laxatives
Sit and drink Pennyroyal Tea
Distill the life that’s inside of me
I’m anemic royalty
I’m anemic royalty
Whatever the weather, our day starts with walking the dogs and (sometimes with cats in tow) and sometimes foraging for weeds. We are lucky to live in an area where there is no intensive farming, no crop spraying and lots of hedgerows, meadows and verges, where the wild plants flourish. Our own land was not occupied for 40 years before we moved here so, although it is hard work clawing out a few patches for cultivation, at least I know that our soil is relatively uncontaminated. In the height of summer, when it can be very hot and dry, there’s not usually so much to be had from the wild, but we usually have plenty in our garden then. Foraging and wild juicing is more of a winter activity for us.
I started juicing two years ago in spring when the cleavers came out en masse and almost begged to be juiced. I bought a Lexen Manual Juicer, as the electric one some one left us is so big and noisy and I have Luddite leanings. What a joy this little machine is. It makes beautiful, rich and slick juice and is so satisfying to use – and easy to clean. I much prefer it to the electric version. Chopping the plants and fruits and pushing them into the machine and watching the juice and pulp come out is a kind of meditation.
Wild juice recipe
2-3 crisp apples
3 sticks of celery
Large thumb-sized piece of ginger
Handful of coriander/cilantro leaves
And several handfuls of one or more of the following:
Cabbage (red or green)
Lemon balm (not too much as it’s very strong)
Mallow (not too much as it’s very gooey)
Milk thistle leaves
Radish leaves –
Yarrow (not too much as it’s pucker-power astringent)
For our tastes the apple, celery, ginger and coriander/cilantro is the basic blend and then whatever greens are available. This juicer prefers hard fruits, technically it’s a wheat grass juicer, so anything too mushy doesn’t work so well. We grow broccoli, kale, swiss chard and cabbage for most of the year, hopefully the ginger, coriander/cilantro and apples will make it this year and we find the ‘weeds’ on our walks.
Biological power plants
The human body is a biological power plant, as it transduces multiple energy sources for different systems and processes. Oxygen is used as the primary fuel to break down food, carbohydrates, fats, minerals and vitamins in order to power movement and essential physiological processes, such as digestion, respiration, mitosis and repair. The nervous system is considered to be primarily electrical, driven by the polarizing actions of the sodium-potassium pump in response to stimuli and then back to the resting state after external stimulation. The nervous system uses about one third of the body’s overall energy capacity, regardless of physical activity or lifestyle choices. Except in cases of injury, poisoning or chronic illness, most ‘nervous conditions’ can be significantly remediated through diet. However, more recently some researchers are considering that the nervous system is powered by light. And what about the senses????
The human body also creates energy. I cranked my manual juicer with kinetic energy, not hard enough to make me sweat (thankfully), but just being alive creates thermal energy. And then there is light. All life forms radiate light, which is electromagnetic energy. Some electromagnetic energy is visible to the naked eye, like rainbows or laser beams, but most isn’t.
Your body grows new retinal cells every two days, new skin in six weeks, a new liver over an eight week period and new nerve cells in a matter of months. So what stops us from regenerating and why do we all show signs of ageing, with advancing years? Those are big questions, with many answers, but in biological terms your body needs three things:
the right raw materials from which to construct new cells;
sufficient cellular energy to enable it to use the raw materials;
a working communication system, so it knows what to do and when;
a guiding narrative that attunes you to health and regeneration.
If any one of these three components is depleted, as they mostly are, you don’t heal and regenerate as you were designed to do and eventually you succumb to total systemic failure – otherwise known as death. Additionally, cells, systems, habits and even civilizations all go through a natural process of apoptosis, signified by chaos, and that’s one way of looking at the current conditions. The question is: what do you do about it? You can just find yourself a safe haven and ride out the rest of you life as best you can and there’s plenty to be said for that approach, I nearly ended up there myself. But funnily enough, when I found my safe haven, here in Galicia, I began to perceive and experience life in a very different way. Life gushes, sprouts and oozes through every pore in the earth and atmosphere here and I want more of it. This leads back to the plants, the wild plants and weeds……
Have you ever stopped to consider why you need to put so much time and effort into weeding the garden? The weeds always win! They are stronger, better adapted to the environment and they are prolific, whatever the conditions, the weeds survive and return more quickly than cultivated plants – they are the power plants. That’s because they grow as Nature intended, they haven’t been hybridized for yield benefits or so they can be transported over long distances, irradiated and still look tasty on a grocery store shelf. Domestic vegetables are designed for profit and wild plants are designed for life. Wild plants contain at least 5 – 10 times more nutrients, vitamins, enzymes, phytochemicals and biophotons than supermarket vegetables. 15 grams of nettles contain far more nutrients than 100 grams of healthy romaine lettuce. I’ve long suspected that one of the reasons I didn’t do well on a vegetarian diet was lack of minerals. I’m very reluctant to use supplements, as I regard them as suspiciously as I do every other processed ‘food – made for profit, rather than health. Several studies have shown that the mineral content of wild edible plants is higher than their commercial equivalents, which stands to reason if the wild plants are collected from soil that has not been depleted through industrial farming methods. However, there is another reason, that is even more significant and that is light.
Biophotons, that is light emitted by life, were discovered in 1923 by Russian scientist Professor Alexander Gurvich, who originally named them “mitogenetic rays”. German biophysicist Fritz-Albert Popp proved their existence in 1974 and subsequently developed biophoton theory based on observation to explain their possible biological role and the ways in which they may control biochemical processes, growth, differentiation etc. This work is now continued in a network of research laboratories in more than 10 countries, although it remains outside of make-believe mainstream science.
The radiant light emanating from animals and plants that is too faint to be seen by the naked eye. It would be like seeing a lit candle in the dark from 20km away, but it has been repeatedly photographed using the Popp designed photomultiplier devices. In humans it appears to be most concentrated in the forehead, the throat and the chest area.
According to Popp, living cells and DNA use electromagnetic waves to communicate and transfer information. Substances and unnatural electromagnetic fields, disrupt the natural cycles of light emission causing loss of coherence and poor intracellular communication, so that the body is unable to generate new healthy cells. For example, Popp found that cancer cells were not attuned to the rest of the body ie. out of synch, dancing to a different tune.
A biophoton is always emitted before each of the appproximately 100,000 biochemical reactions that occur per second in every cell in the human body. There is no biochemical reaction that takes place without the preceding biophoton signal, which is why it is considered to be the ‘steering system’ for all the biochemistry that takes place in the body. The communication system of the body is more akin to fibre optics than copper wires.
If you can find a very local source of edible wild plants, give wild juicing a try and I’m sure you’ll notice the benefits in a few weeks. Popp considers the biophoton content to be of far greater importance than just the nutrient or caloric content of a food freshly picked, as it brings coherence back into the body. Health and regeneration is just not possible without communication and coherence. Eating plants with a high biophoton content helps correct the deficit caused by electromagnetic pollution and reconnects you with nature – another part of the story. Wild edible leafy green plants have the highest biophoton content of all foods available, as the ancient alchemists surely knew.
There are said to be around 100 trillion microbes in the gut, bacteria, fungi and protozoa and they are part of the digestive process. Essentially, they break down different foods in various ways, by providing enzymes that the body does not produce itself. A healthy microbiota (community of microbes) results in good health and an optimized immune system. Conversely, lack of microbial diversity in the gut has been implicated in many conditions, such as arthritis, diabetes, eczema, heart disease and obesity.
The microbiota is adversely affected by sugar substitutes, such as aspartame and sucralose and saccharin, medications and antibiotics and food additives in processed foods. However, it will recover quickly when these are stopped and natural wholesome foods are introduced back into the diet.
I take the view that the microbes in my body and those in the environment act as one super-organism and are in continuous communication with each other. So eating local wild foods enhances my connection with nature and supports my intuition and regeneration (which depends on signals from the environment), as well as my health.
This is an update on Dean’s success regarding the elimination of a persistent fungal sore, of the type that has been named basal cell carcinoma, as in skin cancer, by medical experts, but is really just a fungus.
Much disease is seeded in the mind of the ‘patient’ through the process of giving a name to a collection of symptoms. Through the act of recognition, the ‘patient’ maps the named condition (whatever it is, it could be cancer, arthritis, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, it doesn’t matter, the process is the same) to the description of the condition he/she already holds in his memory, along with the emotional weight he/she associates with it. Fear of death, pain, disfigurement and incapacitation is associated with disease and sickness, because of childhood experiences that have been covertly shaped by the architects behind the medical mafia. Every one of you has known a relative who has gone into hospital never to return and most of you were taken to the doctor at the first sign of sickness, or even worse without being sick at all, for so-called preventative medicine. No matter how stoic you might be, no matter how self-actualised, intelligent or even ‘spiritual’ you might consider yourself to be, if you get sick, you notice the symptoms and map them to the memories and programmes that were inserted into your mind before you had the necessary neurophysiology to exercise any discernment. The natural process of recognition was and still is, manipulated to work against you. However, the enemies of humanity lose their advantage once you recognize what YOU are doing.
When a doctor says: I have some bad news, you have cancer, it sounds like an incantation (ie enchantment) and feels like a curse. That’s because it is a curse. The fact that, for the most part, both doctor and patient are ignorant of the ‘cancer curse’ does not render it any less effective. The structure of the human brain allows for external programming and self-programming, so that the human animal can discover its incompleteness and begin the work of regeneration, completion and co-creation with the gods, within a Universe that is also rendered incomplete for that very purpose. Sophia’s plunge and the resulting spontaneous generation of the archons was an unforeseen anomaly that has led to the cascading exploitation of that design feature by the xenosh and their collaborators. Cancer is one sadistic story of exploitation, voodoo and a shapeshifting fungus.
The word ‘patient’ from Old French pacient and Latin patientem means: enduring without complaint and bearing, supporting, suffering, enduring, permitting.
Candida and the cancer lie
Candida is a polymorphic yeast-like fungus, said to be normally present in small concentrations within the microbial colonies of humans and other animals. There are several strains of candida, of which Candida Albicans is considered to be the most pathogenic, but the differences are mostly related to geographical location and inconsequential when considered in relation to disease. Polymorphic means that it is able to take more than one form: it can be a spore, a unicellular yeast, a linked chain of round and elongated cells called pseudo-hyphae and hyphae, which are the strands that clump together to form mycelium. It is asexual and reproduces through budding. In a healthy and balanced host it feeds mostly on sugars and its biological function is to decompose dead tissue. The shape of the fungus is imposed by the environment in which it develops.
When the gut flora colony becomes unbalanced, such as through poor diet, pharmaceuticals (especially antibiotics and oral contraceptives), environmental toxins, stress and impaired immune function, candida goes into overdrive and a chain of health problems follow. Many of the problems are caused by the 80-180 different toxins candida releases during its life cycle. As competition for food intensifies, candida spores travel around the body in search of suitable conditions for proliferation, where it attaches to the tissues of the host and the hyphae start to burrow in. In this stage, candida is often referred to as parasitic, as it feeds directly on the host, although a fungus is not a true parasite as it always make a contribution to the greater eco-system. A parasite only ever serves itself, while it develops tactics to make the host think it is useful – sound familiar?
The presence of candida in many conditions such as arthritis, autism, diabetes, heart disease, MS and cancer has been known for a long time, but it was generally considered to be an after-effect rather than a cause. It was Dr Simoncini, an Italian oncologist, who discovered that candida is actually the root cause of most, if not all, so-called cancer. He found candida in all the cancers he examined and came to the conclusion that the variations found in different types of cancer, e.g. lung cancer, or breast cancer or skin cancer, is not indicative of any morphology of healthy cells to cancer cells. Rather, it is the result of the combinations caused by candida being shaped by the organ or tissue within which it is located and that tissue’s specific response to the invasion. So, the liver responds differently to the pancreas, or the blood, or the skin. Furthermore, Dr Simoncini discovered that sodium bicarbonate kills the candida in most situations, leading to the disappearance of the ‘cancer’. Due to the unique properties of skin, candida takes a particular form that responds better to iodine than sodium bicarbonate.
Dr Simoncini took his findings to the Italian Medical Board, soliciting their involvement in further research. The Italian Medical Board responded by initiating proceedings to strike him off, resulting in years of court battles and demonization; the standard response of the medical mafia to anyone who challenges their monopoly. Details of Dr Simoncini’s research and protocols are in his book, Cancer is a Fungus and on his website.
The notion that the cells of your body turn mutant, that they spontaneously develop self-destructive genetic mutations, is the most cruelly deceitful lie ever to be perpetuated by the medical mafia. This insidious lie has been carefully installed, over many generations, into the fabric of the medical and scientific communities so that even true doctors and scientists (there are some) have been duped into looking for non-existent genetic problems. The list of pioneering doctors who have been persecuted, vilified or even murdered in order to keep the cures for cancer and other diseases they discovered suppressed is still growing. At the same time, information on natural therapies has been consistently been represented in an incomplete or misleading manner and anyone without a medical qualification is prohibited from publishing, and in many countries subject to prosecution, information that COULD BE FOUND to be offering advice on how to cure cancer or any other proscribed diseases – for your protection, of course. This has been well-covered elsewhere, so I won’t go into it here.
The critical question is: what do you do if you have a health problem? Every one of us has been programmed from childhood to seek help from the medical profession when sick or injured, but the terrible truth is that, no matter how genuine a conventional doctor or nurse might be, they have been entrained into a system that is purposefully structured to make you progressively weaker and sicker, rather than fit and healthy. Unless it’s a mechanical injury, like a broken bone, or something that needs stitching up, they simply CANNOT help you – all the hospitals and doctors offices, with their machines and fancy outfits, it’s all just make-pretend, to make you (and themselves) believe they are doing something useful. When you do get better, it is usually simply because that is what your body was designed to do and when you THINK you will get better, given time and no further harm, that is what happens. This is an individual front line for each of us, what works for one may, or may not work for another, as there are too many variables at play. However, there are two certainties you can count on:
the medical SYSTEM is not designed to help you;
the Anthropos was designed in the pleroma by our aeonic parents, Sophia and Telete, to be self-healing and as Superlearning proceeds many more of us will discover how to activate these faculties for ourselves.
I’m highlighting Dr Simoncini’s protocol for skin cancer, because his well-documented observations regarding the candida fungus ring true to me. More pertinently, he has proven the effectiveness of simple and cheap solutions, that do not require specialist equipment and that many people have used for themselves with good results. There might well be other options, but after having tried several other approaches, with varying success rates, Dean found Dr Simoncini’s iodine protocol to be the quickest and most effective in eliminating his fungal sore.
The Simoncini Iodine Protocol for Skin Cancer
“All skin cancers are always caused by the candida fungus which has adapted itself to metabolizing the most proteinaceous constituents of the epidermis and that can, therefore, only rarely be treated with sodium bicarbonate solutions.
The treatment to choose for epithileomas, basaliomas, and melanomas is iodine solution at seven percent, as it is capable of precipitating the proteins of the body of the fungus and destroying them completely in a short time.
If the lesions are fairly small, they must be painted with the solution 10-20-30 times, twice a day for five days and then once for another ten days so that they become very dark. When the eschar is formed and it is higher than the epidermic plane, it is necessary to continue to paint under and above it, even if at first this causes a sharp pain.
This very same operation must be repeated for the second eschar that is formed. At this point the lesion may be considered destroyed, because after the third cycle it is possible to reach the center of the neoplasia, where the colonies try to resist to the last.”
Dr T. Simoncini, Cancer is a Fungus
Dean used J.Crow’s 5% Lugol’s solution, as we couldn’t find 7%. This is a non-alcohol based tincture, which is not as painful on the sore as the alcohol based tinctures.
He applied it to the sore, around 21 ‘drops’ from the pipette, waiting for each one to dry before applying the next, twice a day for the first five days and then once a day thereafter for 17 days. The sore got huge, as you can see, and then it’s just a matter of ‘holding your nerve’ as you continue the process until after two-three weeks, it begins to improve. The whole process took about six weeks, but this is an individual thing. It might take longer or less time, if you use the protocol you have to observe the sore closely and make your own decision as to when to stop the treatment.
He takes 2 drops of the Lugol’s iodine in a glass of water every day, but he didn’t go on a candida elimination diet or do a candida cleanse. (We don’t eat processed food, sweets, sugary drinks, wheat or lots of starch – and we do drink good Spanish wine.) Other people I’ve talked with found that they had to take a slower approach, applying the iodine to the skin, or taking it every other day or 2-3 times a week. It’s potent stuff and healing is an individual process.
He also lives the Sophianic Narrative and ‘self-authorised’ following the procedure I describe in this talk: Spelling Out Disease
NB: the skin has continued to heal and I’ll post a final follow-up picture in due course.
Fungus: guides to extinction and/or enlightenment?
By conservative estimates, there are over 1.5 million different species of fungus, with only 75,000 identified so far. They can kill you or enlighten you, perhaps even both at the same time, and offer a full spectrum of benefits/hazards in between. Most mycologists focus on the species that colonize the external environment, fields and forests etc. and those that colonize the human body. This is not because there are significant differences in the biology of the fungi, but because medical sciences have a monopoly on human disease and pathogens. A medical doctor is considered more qualified to advise on a fungal infection than a mycologist, therefore fungal infections are persistent and ‘difficult to cure.’
Fungi specialize in breaking dead things down to their elemental components, to be re-used by the living. From Death Cap to psilocybe, they are all doing the same thing in different ways – enlightenment is just a fully-conscious form of break-down in which the physical body survives. Everything on this planet is recycled and fungi are ‘mama’s little helpers’ in that task. As the sixth extinction gathers pace, doesn’t it seem obvious that there will be more ‘fungus among us’ to break down all that dead meat walking around?
According to mycologist Paul Stamets, “All fungi have learning strategies to survive, mothering members through the mycelium matrix who’s interest is in the long-term survival of the eco-system.”
From the planetary perspective candida is not a problem; it is just a consequence for some members of the anthropine species, those who live in such a way as to disregard both themselves as individuals and the eco-system in which they are enmeshed, that is their mutually beneficial symbiotic role in the eco-system as a whole. To put it bluntly, you can’t love life without loving yourself and vice versa and without this self-love, expressed through how you live your life, you are inevitably fungus fodder.
I think this video illustrates the point. It shows the effectiveness of expressed intention, but watch what happens to the jar of rice that was ignored. Doesn’t that look like candida, or maybe even cancer to you?
Iodine is one of the most striking and beautiful of all elements. As a solid, it is a heavy, grey-black, metallic-looking material. When heated, it does not melt. Instead, it sublimes, turning directly into a gas without first melting. The resulting iodine vapour has a violet colour and a harsh odour. If a cold ironbar, is placed into the vapour, iodine changes back to a solid, forming delicate, metallic crystals.
Iodine is rare in the solar system and the Earth’s crust, 47–60th in abundance and concentrated in only a few places, like Chile, where the crystals in this image were mined. It is said that these places were once covered by oceans that evaporated, but the geological origins of the iodine ore found in Chile, have not been confirmed. As the Aeon solidified into the earth, the violet dust of Her dessicated breath eventually found its way into the oceans. The single most significant evolutionary event for eukaryotes (nucleated celled organisms), including humans, occurred when seaweeds concentrated iodine. From this process came multicellular organisms, vertebrates and humans. When seaweed captured iodine from the ocean, concentrating it up to 20,000 times in the process, it created the conditions for the emergence of new multi-celled life-forms. The iodine ‘partnered’ with the amino acid tyrosine to produce thyroxine and the first endocrine hormone was created. Thyroxine is also the first hormone to emerge in fetal development and it controls the body temperature at birth, activating the metamorphic changes in the lungs that cause the baby to take its first gasp of air.
The concentration of iodine in the oceans is around 0.05 ppm iodine, meaning that there are approximately 35 million metric tons of iodine in the world’s oceans, but extraction is impractical at these low concentrations. The best natural source of iodine today is kelp, but you will probably need a lot of it.
Iodine’s affiliation for tyrosine (and histidine) is why it is so effective against all classes of pathogens: gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, mycobacteria, fungi, yeasts, moulds and protozoa. The membranes of these single-celled creatures all contain tyrosine that is dissolved on contact with iodine, as it seeks to make ore complex life-forms. Most bacteria are killed within 15 to 30 seconds of contact. Because the microbicidal action of iodine is related to several directly toxic effects on the cell wall, rather than through specific molecular pathways (as used by antibiotics), resistance is highly unlikely and reports of iodine-resistant strains are exceptionally rare.
“Iodine is by far the best antibiotic, antiviral and antiseptic of all time.” Dr. David Derry
Clearly, iodine was a major competitor to the pharmaceutical industry and had to be demonized.
The Demonization of Iodine
Bernard Courtois discovered iodine by accident in 1811, and from that time up until the middle of the 20th century iodine was used as a panacea for all manner of ailments. It was well-studied for wound care and healing and considered to be a safe and essential nutrient, to prevent cretinism and goiter and to promote healthy fetal brain development. Unfortunately, it was also cheap and easy to produce and presented a significant threat to the budding pharmaceutical disease industry. So, through stealth, deception and outright fraud its proponents, collaborators and pawns launched the “iodophobia campaign”, that is still in operation today.
It began with the double-dealing hand of the iodization of salt, introduced by the Morton Salt Company in the US in 1924. On the face of it, the iodization of salt was a good thing, as it eliminated most incidences of goiter in America, but goiter is just the tip of the iceberg regarding iodine consumption. The body needs both iodine and iodide (the salt of iodine) as they concentrate in different parts of the body; the thyroid needs iodide and the breasts and prostate need iodine. Many other tissues in the body can concentrate either form. These include glands like the salivary, liver, spleen, kidneys and intestines. Iodized salt contains iodide only, as it is more stable, but the actual content of iodized salt is ridiculously low, just enough to reduce observable goiter. The facts are that only 10% of the iodide content in iodized salt is is bioavailable, and by the time the salt reaches the grocery store about 50% of its iodide content has already evaporated and it will lose another 50% (approx.) of within another 30 days. Additionally, iodized salt contains lots of aluminium – but it was cheap and available everywhere.
Iodine was a medicine at the time, so adding it to ordinary, everyday salt and telling people that it was ‘good for them’ was a sleight of hand. The first incidence of adding a medicine to a staple food item or condiment. This all passed smoothly and paved the way for the introduction of fluoride into drinking water in 1945. Fluoride is in the same halogen group as iodine, but being lighter it displaces iodine if there is an insufficient amount of iodine in the body. Sufficient levels of iodine will displace fluoride, but when the body has insufficient iodine it uses the closest chemical equivalent available as a substitute, which in many cases is fluoride, but fluoride does not enable the body to make thyroid hormones and is a hormone disruptor. Chlorine, also in the same halogen group, also inhibits iodine absorption. What a coincidence!
In 1948, a study that came to be known as the “Wolff-Chaikoff Effect” was published in Berkeley, which claimed that daily doses of iodine over 0.2mg/L will cause hypothyroidism in humans. The study was entirely fraudulent. It was conducted on rats, but none of the lab rats in the study became hypothyroid and the values were never extrapolated for humans. Nonetheless, this became accepted medical fact and iodophobia went viral. Further studies reportedly ‘confirmed the facts’ and in 1965, iodine was banned from use as a dough conditioner for bread in the UK and US. Through the 1970s and 80s in the US, iodine was replaced in baked goods by bromate, a derivative of bromine (see the periodic table) which is typically used as a flame retardant chemical. Bromine/bromate is banned for use in Europe and many other countries, but not the US, even though it is a know goitrogen (promotes goiter) carcinogen and “zombifying agent’. The use of bromate correlates with increased prevalence of obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cancer of the breast and thyroid glands in the U.S. Populations. For more informationsee: The History of Iodine in Medicine, Guy E. Abraham MD
By 1980 iodine was no longer a staple of the home medicine cabinet, replaced by Dettol or Savlon and various other less effective, and more expensive, products. Iodine remains more effective as a topical agent against most bacterial infections, including MRSA, pneumonia and even Lyme Disease (lookup Dr Klinghardt on Lyme Disease for more info).
Mainstream medicine sets the RDA level at 150 micrograms for both men and women. This ignores the fact that estrogen inhibits the action of iodine, which is why women are nine times more likely to suffer from hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) than men. The ovaries produce their own thyroid hormone to compensate for this effect, but this stops in menopause contributing to health problems for post-menopausal women. According to many doctors who have studied the benefits of iodine, the sufficiency iodine need is probably around 12.5 milligrams, a significantly higher amount. 150 micrograms is a deceptive number that is actually very small. A microgram is 1/1000th of a milligram, so 150 micrograms is 1/100th or 1/400th the amount that the iodine doctors say that we need
Iodine is no longer mentioned in medical training or textbooks and as hypothyroidism runs rampant, it is said to be caused by too much iodine, when the exact opposite is true. Hyperthyroidism is in fact a very rare medical condition, said to be caused by an ‘autonomous thyroid nodule’ which is a thyroid hormone secreting nodule on the thyroid gland that is not regulated by the pituitary gland – hence autonomous. Most of the world is now iodine deficient, 90-98%, depending on which research reports you consider. It is not just physical health that is under attack.
According to Dr Jorge Flechas: iodine deficiency is the number one cause of mental retardation in the world.
The physical, mental and emotional health benefits of iodine literally take your breath away.
Iodine for health
The health benefits for iodine, both in terms of preventing disease and supporting the body in healing from disease are just too numerous for me to go into here – here are some examples and some additional resources:
Consistent research has shown these conditions to be related to iodine deficiency:
autoimmune thyroid illnesses
autism and ADHD
What’s more, the above conditions and many more have been improved or resolved with iodine supplementation. Iodine supplementationin the proper amounts increases urinary excretion of heavy metals such as lead and mercury, and has a detoxifying effect by increasing excretion of fluoride, bromide and chloride derivatives.
Iodine is effective in eliminating skin cancer, which is a fungal related condition caused by candidiasis, according to the work of Dr Simoncini. See Cancer is a Fungus.
The slide show below provides a good summary and starting point for further research
Dr. Albert Szent Györgi, Nobel Laureate who discovered Vitamin C, took 770 milligrams per day of potassium iodide as a preventative dose:
“When I was a medical student, iodine in the form of KI (Potassium Iodide) was the universal medicine. Nobody knew what it did, but it did something and did something good. We students used to sum up the situation in this little rhyme: If ye don’t know where, what, and why Prescribe ye then K and I”
Iodine and Regeneration
It is generally well-known that iodine is used by the thyroid gland, to make thyroid hormones and that these hormones regulate metabolism. However, iodine is also essential for the immune system and intimately involved in gene expression. When the body receives sufficient iodine and the thyroid gland has adequate supplies, any remaining iodine is stored in all other glands and tissues, the extracellular fluid and the lymphatic system, where it performs multiple functions.
“All the blood in the body passes though the thyroid every seventeen minutes. Because the cells making up this gland have an affinity for iodine, during this seventeen-minute passage the gland’s secretion of iodine kills weak germs that may have gained entry into the blood through an injury to the skin, the lining of nose or throat, or through absorption of food from the digestive tract. Strong, virulent germs are rendered weaker during their passage through the thyroid gland. With each seventeen minutes that rolls around they are made still weaker until finally they are killed if the gland has its normal supply of iodine. If it does not, it cannot kill harmful germs circulating in the blood as Nature intended it should.”
Folk Medicine, Dr DeForest Clinton Jarvis
Doctors who work with iodine consider autoimmune diseases to be related to damage to the cells of the thyroid gland, pancreas and other glands. When dead cells enter the blood stream, the proteins are foreign to the body, causing the body’s immune system to manufacture antibodies that are capable of attacking normal tissue. When there are sufficient levels of iodine in the blood stream, it neutralizes many of the dead cells, working with the immune system and preventing it from becoming overwhelmed. Iodine triggers apoptosis, (programmed cell death) and is found in high concentrations in areas such as in the stomach and nasal passages, where it acts against bacteria, fungus and other pathogens.
The ‘anti-cancer’ properties of iodine have been mentioned above. My view is that there really is no such disease as cancer. Cancer is a label put on various symptoms, that are actually signs of the body working to heal itself. Sadly, innate healing functions are too often impaired through toxicity, malnutrition (including iodine deficiency), dehydration and inappropriate interventions and eventually the body can become overwhelmed.
More interesting is iodine’s involvement in gene expression. This function is often described as its ability to ‘switch off’ various cancer causing genes. What this really means is that iodine, via its apoptosis triggering mechanism, is preventing damaged genes from making copies of themselves, exacerbating the damage. It is unlikely that iodine is directly involved in regeneration, as Dr Robert Becker (The Body Electric) ascertained in his early studies, but it has a huge supporting role in clearing the field and getting the body fit for regeneration/transmutation.
Iodine in Food
A short comment on this: most of the information related to the iodine content of various foods is entirely fallacious. The iodine content of any food is dependent upon the iodine content of the soil in which it grows – without knowing the iodine content of the soil in which your food is grown, it is simply impossible to know the iodine content of your food. Average iodine content for types of food grown in Switzerland, will be very different than for the same food types grown in Hawaii.
As a very general rule, ocean-side soils have a higher iodine content than inland and mountainous soils. That said, you would still have to eat around 10-20 pounds of fish per day, to get 13 milligrams of iodine.
iodine and the super-learning event
It is no coincidence that iodine caught my attention in the closing shift of the first phase of the Super-learning event. Iodine is essential for cognitive function and you need to be up to speed in order to participate fully in this event, if that is your desire.
Iodine deficiency is recognized as the most common cause of preventable brain damage in the world. Even moderate deficiency results in a loss of at least 10 – 15 IQ points.
Conversely, sufficiency in iodine can raise a deficient IQ by 10-15 IQ points.
Iodine is needed by the thyroid to produce the thyroid hormones T4 and T3. The butterfly shaped thyroid gland is part of the endocrine system, the biochemical ‘engine’ of the body that works in harmony with the electrical engine of the nervous system. The thyroid secretes hormones that enter your circulatory system and are transported throughout your body. Every cell has receptor sites for thyroid hormones. Insufficient thyroid hormones result in your brain having to make many adjustments and energy conservation decisions to keep you operational, all while being itself undernourished.
Insufficient iodine has a negative affect on the neurotransmitters in your brain. This can result in depression, brain fog, anxiety, learning and memory problems, and ultimately lead to neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
Thyroid hormones are involved in dopamine release, the reward system for learning, which is involved in cognition memory and mood, and the ‘feel good’ hormones serotonin and GABA. However, the body will prioritise the utilization of iodine and thyroid hormones so that essential physiological needs are addressed first. This is another reason why iodine deficiency results in a lower IQ.
Some researchers have remarked on the incongruence between the need for iodine and its non-availability in so many regions. I think this is an ‘end-times factor’, perhaps a selection vector. Even though vast areas of the planet are iodine deficient, iodine is still (at this point at least) relatively cheap and easy to get hold of and there are many excellent resources available to support self dosage. You just have to have sufficient intelligence and motivation to look into it for yourself.
That said: is it a coincidence that the Planetary Animal Mother is currently flooding areas of recognised iodine deficiency, Vietnam, Southern India and China with iodine rich seawater?
In the previous post on the Immune System Reboot, I raised the question: do you experience symptoms of sickness or symptoms of healing? The proper functioning of your immune system depends on how you answer that question. This is not a hypothetical question; it arises in your mind whenever you experience a deviation from homeostasis. For example, consider something as small and insignificant as an insect bite. You rarely see the bite happening, but you see the effects of your immune system working and for the most part you get irritated by that. This is negativity in action and you are working against yourself. The Aeonic Mother reboots your immune system in the exact moment that you experience a symptom and recognize that your immune system is already working to neutralize the assault. Pretending that you see your immune system working will have no effect whatsoever. The re-cognition occurs when you unlearn the errors that have informed the adaptive immune system, enabling you to witness the power of your creative imagination in the observable healing of your own body. And in the humblest and most precise manner, interactions with plants and insects are all working with you so that you can experience this release.
Fear, Memory, Pain and Immunity
The immune system works most effectively when you are relaxed. This is because cortisol, one of the main stress hormones, has the specific purpose of shutting down the physiological process that you don’t need if you have to run or fight for your survival. The body prioritizes the essential systems to enable you to take action against immediate and real danger and the non-essential systems, such as the immune system, the digestive system, reproductive system and prefrontal cortex learning systems get shut down. The effects of chronic stress on the immune system have been well-researched and the effectiveness of various relaxation methods, such as deep breathing, Transcendental Meditation and Dr Herbert Benson’s “relaxation response” have been thoroughly studied and found to be useful to varying degrees. However, these techniques are coping mechanisms that do not get to the root cause of stress, anxiety and fear, which rests in the learned/programmed emotional memory of the amygdala.
“My current (incomplete) intel is that the nexus of human behaviour is shifting from the ‘learned’ emotional responses of the amygdala, to a more balanced response seated in the relationship between the amygdala and the visceral hypothalamus. The amygdala and hypothalamus are part of the limbic system, which is the area of the brain that processes emotions, memories and instincts.”
The key biochemical involved in this shift is the histamine.
“Histamine is a transmitter in the nervous system and a signaling molecule in the gut, the skin, and the immune system. Histaminergic neurons in mammalian brain are located exclusively in the tuberomamillary nucleus of the posterior hypothalamus and send their axons all over the central nervous system. Active solely during waking, they maintain wakefulness and attention.” Histamine in the Nervous System
Histamine has a bad rap. Histamine intolerance is rampant, along with increasing rates of allergies and asthma. Unfortunately, histamine’s role in the processing of fear-based emotional memory and learning has been conveniently sidelined. You cannot consolidate fear-based memories without histamine. This does not mean psychological processing, as in “I remember exactly when my allergies started,” although that can occur. Physiological or biochemical processing simply enables your brain and body system to differentiate between learned, emotional fear, the root cause of most (although not all) chronic stress and real, immediate, physical fear. The body is designed to work with a hierarchy of fear responses. This is evidenced by the fact that adrenaline, another of the stress hormones, deactivates histamine. Adrenaline’s primary function is to increase heart-rate and breathing, to prepare you to fight or run when faced with a real and immediate threat. Physical survival trumps emotional fear, but without sufficient histamine you cannot differentiate between the fear of real and present danger in the face of which you must take action and the programmed emotional fear that only requires recognition and consolidation as preparation for what might transpire in the future.
Common hay fever antihistamines provide relief from symptoms by blocking the H1 histamine receptors, as these receptors are involved in the allergic response, causing blood vessel dilation and stimulation of the sensory nerves in the eyes and airways. However, H1 histamine is also involved in learning and memory and recent studies have shown that it is essential for the retrieval of memories relating to inhibitory avoidance. (In inhibitory avoidance tasks, scientists/torturers place an animal in a small starting compartment and it receives a single footshock after entering a larger compartment. The animals are tested to see how long it takes them to learn not to step into the larger compartment, various drugs are administered and they are tested again to see the effects of the drugs. Memory retrieval of inhibitory avoidance requires histamine H1receptor activation in the hippocampus ) You need histamine in order to learn from fear-based experiences and to avoid a similar experience in the future. Endogenous histamine in the brain is necessary for many brain functions including neural plasticity, preventing premature aging and memory function. Alzheimers sufferers have been found to be significantly deficient in neuronal histamine. Neuronal histamine deficit in Alzheimer’s disease.
Unprocessed fear is paralyzing, keeping you stuck in a loop that you can’t define. Fear has been very well studied, so that it can be ju-diciously applied for maximum effect. (See Fear Memory for an excruciating summary.) The fear-pain association is an excellent method of societal control, as fear increases pain and pain increases fear. When strong emotional responses accompany early experiences of fear or pain, the same emotion can trigger fear and pain throughout life, if it has not been consolidated by histamine. Unresolved emotional behavioral triggers get unwittingly passed from parents to children and cause the very symptoms (allergies and asthma) that the nice people in the medical profession then try and alleviate with their pharmaceuticals, thus ensuring that the underlying fears are never consolidated. The systematically induced fear of pain (both physical and emotional) reduces both risk taking and learning potential. Conversely, pain without fear is much easier to bear and dissolve. In short, you cannot get up to speed in the Superlearning event without sufficient histamine in your body, as your immune system uses it to process fear, in addition to its more well-known involvement in the inflammatory response.
The Sophianic Narrative and Planetary Tantra give you the tools to transcend fear, negativity and pain, which is the single most significant action you can take to support your immune system through the reboot. A healthy, fully functional immune system is, of course, essential for anyone claiming to be on the warrior path.
The “Bagala Switch” in Action
The Bagala Switch makes it possible to see insect bites and stings, allergies and pain as allies, rather than enemies. The switch is easier to detect in a Bagalamukhi shift (which is why I am able to comment on it now), however, as it has already been integrated into the experience of a human animal it is available to all human animals, at any time. The switch can be invoked by anyone who has made their commitment to Her (Gaian Tantra Vow), although you must bear in mind that it only occurs through the Grace of the Aeonic Mother.
“Discussing this aspect of the devata with friends, I coined the term “the Bagala switch.” This happens when something you thought or felt, or something you held as a permanent view, suddenly switches to its opposite. For instance, you always hated classical music. Suddenly you like it. You always wanted to be famous. Suddenly, obscurity looks extremely attractive. You resisted a change of dress. Suddenly, you are totally into finding some new attire. Or vice, versa. It can go either way, but it appears that Bagala performs her switch exclusively with negative and blocking elements in your life that prevent you from attaining the best outcome of your desires.
Today I have the experience of others to compare to my impressions about the unique skill of this Mahavidya. With the instruction of Bagala, you do not have to learn anything from the blocks, you do not process negative material. The switch is abrupt, so sudden that you cannot rationally work it out. At one moment you just realize that you don’t have to continue doing something that blocks you and holds you back. She switches the polarity and you are suddenly on the other side of the block. I compared it to seeing a sign in front of you, like an arrow pointing left, and suddenly it points right. This impression is unmistakable. Several people had it, and I had it several times myself during this shift. Reversal of attitude is immediate, breathtaking. The rare power of Bagalmukhi seems to inhere in the subtlety of the switch, which amounts to a kind of guidance, swift, silent, and impeccable. In this shift I have acquired enormous respect for the finesse of the devata. In many respects, her instruction is closer to that of a Diamond Sky Dakini than a Mahavidya. Her use of the dakini blade of discrimination is superb. There is much more to learn about the way this shakti operates.”
This action is real and demonstrable to yourself and here is an example. I’d been talking with a kalika friend about the workings of the immune system and how observable symptoms are proof of a fully functioning immune system that need to be re-cognized in that moment. She had a psychologically traumatizing childhood and suffered from allergies and severe hay fever. She is also a magnet for any stinging and biting insect within miles, which is very often the case for anyone with unresolved programmed fear issues, as Nature finds a way to bring you (an integral part of Nature) back into balance by stimulating your body into producing more histamine. A week or so into the beginning of this shift, she was walking her dog and was suddenly overcome with pollen and a hay fever attack. She started to panic when her throat began to close and then remembered that this was exactly what we had discussed the week before. This was her immune system (and histamine response) working correctly. In the moment that she acknowledged this fact, consciously re-cognized it, the switch happened; negativity was silenced, her symptoms diminished immediately and disappeared completely within 10 minutes. She is still almost hay fever free, in the height of the season.
It is a huge deception perpetrated against the Anthropos as children that causes us to perceive signs of healing as symptoms of disease, so that we use the power of our luminous epinoia against our own bodies for the rest of our lives. Awareness of this deception, along with the presence of mind to observe your symptoms for what they truly are at the moment they occur, gives you the power to break the spell of fear and disease in an instant. This is the simplest, fastest and most powerful way to support your immune system in reboot and participate directly in Correction.
“The hardest thing in the world is to assume the mood of a warrior,” he said. “It is no use to be sad and complain and feel justified in doing so, believing that some one is always doing something to us. Nobody is doing anything to anybody, much less to a warrior.”

I’ve been observing the immune system since a shamanic realignment session we did here on 12th July 2016 and I’m convinced that it is in the process of being ‘rebooted’. Or more specifically, the adaptive, or learning, branch of the immune system is getting the reboot, as part of the Superlearning Event. This post explains what I think is going on regarding the immune system, but bear in mind, the mutations happening now are not limited to the immune system.
The Aeon Sophia’s fall from the pleroma generated unforeseen consequences that have become problematic for humans. There are six major problems that the immune system was not designed to deal with:
the injection of inorganic material, bacteria and chemicals directly into the bloodstream;
the ingestion of poisons, inorganic material and genetically modified substances;
continuous EMF pollution;
chronic dehydration, malnutrition and mineral deficiency;
lack of direct contact with the earth (shoes, cities etc.).
The human genome gives rise to a robust animal, that can survive many extremes, but the combined effect of these six factors is taking its toll, and not just in poor countries where we accustomed to seeing high levels of disease and famine. Life expectancy in the US is now declining. Of course, it will never be proven that parasites, poisoning, wearing shoes and pollution are causing more Americans to die younger than at any time since the ‘AIDS epidemic’ of the 1990’s, but you can find plenty of evidence that poisoning and malnutrition is happening under the guise of healthcare, modern farming and the western lifestyle.
A healthy adult can take action to mitigate some of the harmful effects of EMFs and malnutrition. I’ve already written on the benefits of an indigenous diet and unplugging from the grid, but it’s not so easy to avoid parasites or polluted air and what about all those hyper-vaccinated children who were not of an age where they could take responsibility for their own health and whose parents made ill-informed decisions on their behalf? Is an entire generation doomed to ill-health and a reduced lifespan? I don’t think so. After all, we are in the superlearning event and the immune system is already known to have an adaptive, or learning function why wouldn’t it be subject to an educational upgrade?
The DNA ‘Failsafe’
The genomic plasm for the human species was designed so that it could thrive in any planetary environment in which it takes root. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that the innate immune system of the Anthropic strain would be equipped to deal with any threat. However, the immune system was also designed to work interactively with the specific planetary environment in which the Anthropic genome took seed, so that only the functions native to any specific planet would be unlocked. The anomalies surrounding the materialization of our planetary home have caused us to be exposed to an alien species and the resulting deliberate harm that is being caused was not anticipated by our Aeonic Mother. Nonetheless, She did recognize that her inadvertent generation of the Archons meant that the Anthropos might be at risk in some way that even She couldn’t foresee, so She created a ‘failsafe’. The failsafe not only protects the human genome from any interference or corruption, but also enables new functionality within the innate immune system to be activated epigenetically through Her direct intervention.
The failsafe keeps human DNA safe from any external attempts to hack it and provides the ‘source code’ for epigenetic mutation.
The ‘failsafe’ for the Anthropos is chromatin, which consists of eight histone proteins bonded with 146 base DNA pairs bonded and coiled in a repeating ‘bead on a string’ pattern. The ‘beads on a string’ or ‘string of pearls’ motif is an Aeonic signature, referring to what is also called ‘the pinch effect’ that in plasma cosmology gives birth to stars and is also seen terrestrially in the beading of lightning that happens sometimes. The DNA that is bonded by the protein generates a calcium signal that identifies the DNA as ‘self’ so that it cannot be attacked by the immune system and is protected. As the chromatin oscillates, it generates a pulsing electromagnetic field within which it forms clusters and the ‘spaces’ within and between the clusters allow specific genes to be expressed, regulated by the strength of the coupling frequency of the cluster. The frequency of the oscillation is regulated by the Bio-Electro-Magnetic-Aura, (BEMA) of the earth, which contains the rifling of all the species, including the Anthropos. Mirita adjusts the rifling, which is why this intel is available now. The evidence of changes underway in the electromagnetic forces affecting theplanet can be seen in the Birkeland currents, observable for the first time. This discovery correlates with recent discoveries in biological sciences.
The immune system upgrade itself is not selective. It is an epigenetic change affecting all human animals on the planet, but you have to work out for yourself how to experience it correctly in order to participate in the transmutation to A11.
The ‘Me’ or ‘Not Me’ question
At its most fundamental level the immune system needs to be able to identify anything foreign to the body, anything that is not supposed to be there, so it can take appropriate action. It can only do this if it is able to identify what actually is its body correctly. This is the ‘me’ or ‘not me’ binary question.
Human babies are not born with a fully developed immune system and depend on their mother’s immunity, given to them in breast milk, in the first few weeks of their lives. During this time a newborn is still discovering its body and the boundary formed by its skin and the rest of the world. Vaccinating babies at this stage causes them to accept the foreign material in vaccines as part of themselves, so that their sense of self is forever distorted and their immune systems compromised. It also interferes with the process that enables the child to identify beneficial bacteria at an early stage. This sets the scene for the autoimmune disorders in later life and psychological problems that have now become more or less normalised.
“Cells of the immune system can distinguish between protein molecules that are “self” and “non-self”. For example, if we are exposed to pathogens such as bacteria or viruses that carry foreign molecules on their surface, the body reacts with an immune response. In contrast, cells are “tolerant” of the body’s own molecules. This state of unresponsiveness, or anergy, is regulated by a cellular signal, a calcium-controlled switch that was known to control also many brain functions.”
The calcium signal ensures that the chromatin and DNA is protected, as their cell proteins carry the calcium marker. This protects the genome, but this is not sufficient to provide complete immunity in the life of any individual. The human body is home to trillions of microbes, living in communities in all the organs, the mouth and skin – in fact, no tissue in the human body is sterile. These microbial colonies have a complex and little understood role in health and disease. A key function of the adaptive immune system is to learn which microbes are useful and which are harmful. It is assumed that the microbial ecology of the body develops from childhood, so that the immune system accepts bacteria etc. because they have always been there. The other factor is that when a wound or infection cause cells to die necrotically, as opposed to the regulated cell death of apoptosis, there is an immune responce. As the infected cells die they release proteins that come from the ‘invader’, this alerts the immune system to attack and clean up. Over time, the adaptive immune system learns to differentiate between the types of bacteria that cause problems and those that don’t and it memorizes the signatures and patterns. However, this was intended to be a natural process that took place over time and synergistically with the environment. Vaccinations mimic this process by causing wounding and infection to stimulate an immune response, but both the mechanism and timing are unnatural (not to mention the adjuvants in the vaccinations) and the immune system becomes overwhelmed and unable to respond or learn correctly. Once these children reach adulthood and claim responsibility for their own health, it is possible for them to restore their immune function and correct the problems caused by vaccines and the consequential arrested development of the adaptive immune system. This is not of itself sufficient to guarantee mutation to A11, but it is essential.
Two of the participants in the July 2016 shamanic realignment session had been heavily vaccinated and this was one of the reasons for initiating the session. A shamanic realignment session is organised around an intention, as opposed to the question of a telestic session. Our intention concerned the correction of the herpes virus, which was an erroneous intention, as it so happened, because the herpes virus does not exist. In fact, there is no hard evidence of the existence of any viruses, according to the research of German doctor Dr Stefan Lanka: Herpes isn’t real One of the vaccine damaged participants experienced a profound shift and turned his life around within three weeks. This session showed very clearly that it is not necessary to have a healing intention in regard to a specific condition, because the body works holistically and fractally and once you invite the Wisdom Goddess in, She gives you everything at once.
I hold the view, based on intense observation over the past 14 years, that it is not possible for anyone to recover their immune function without following the Sacred Narrative of the Mysteries. This is not a religious belief, it is simply that this is the only Myth on the planet today that explains who you are, where you come from and how to live within this divine experiment. Without this guiding Narrative, you will not be able to keep your mind focused on generating a healthy outcome for any health challenges you might face. I am not advocating wishful thinking, but that you develop a rudimentary understanding of how your immune system works. The immune system, as we call it, is a set of defense mechanisms designed into the Anthropic genome that enable it to detect and kill invaders. The protective killer instinct is hardwired into human creatures at the cellular level. The primary function of the immune system is to kill anything that breaches its boundaries, for which it needs a proper sense of self.
But what about the inorganic substances that should not be in the body? Autoimmune disorders begin when the immune system starts attacking self-tissue. The different functions of the immune system are all designed to do one thing: kill invaders. An autoimmune disease develops because the immune system targets something it discovered lodged in self-tissue and begins destroying self-tissue as it tries to kill something that cannot die because it is not alive. It needs to develop new functionality to deal with inorganic invaders. I suspect that one approach will be along the lines of the bioremediation and mycoremediation process that are being used to clean up toxic waste sites. As soon as the adaptive immune system is exposed to microbes in the environment that are able to neutralize heavy metals or eliminate glyphosate contamination, for example, they will be co-opted. This is only possible if you have physical connection with the natural environment.
There will be other solutions too. In 2016 scientists discovered that the brain is hardwired directly into the lymphatic system, through newly discovered lymphatic vessels in the meninges – the membranes that surround the brain and spinal chord. Were these ‘new organs’ just discovered, or are they newly evolved as part of the transmutation from A10 to A11? Certainly these new vessels offer the possibility of direct elimination of aluminium, fluoride and toxoplasmosis in the brain.
The condition of your immune system directly affects your cognitive function and what you think and feel about yourself directs your immune function through complex bioelectrical and biochemical interactions. Everything is material.
Symptoms of Sickness or Healing?
So, how do you switch on the upgrade? Actually, you don’t even have to switch it on. It’s already installed and running, but you have to ensure you don’t switch it off! As we move deeper into Correction, the capacity to act with self-determination becomes stronger, but when not correctly aimed, such as when you use your imagination to create what you don’t want, self-determination descends rapidly into self-sabotage – and, of course, the enemies of humanity and their minions use multiple strategies to push you into self-sabotage. This is their primary methodology, to deceive the Anthropos into using its capacities against itself.
Imagine this: you were born with the innate capacity to heal yourself from all but the most catastrophic traumas. However, this potential, needed be activated through exposure to pathogens in the manner in which this would naturally occur, over several years, so that your immune system could learn how to respond – just as you learn to acquire language as a child from the innate narrative capacity of the Anthropos. This learning was disrupted if you were vaccinated, or if you relied on pharmaceuticals and the medical system for any length of time and because you were told that your body cannot heal without expert help. Now we are in the Superlearning event and your immune system is playing catch-up – it wants to learn. The big question is whether you are able to experience any symptoms as evidence that your immune system is working and learning, or whether you think you are sick.
There is a typical pattern to the accelerated learning process of the adaptive immune system.
A heightened sense of self-involvement.
A shock to the system.
Activated lymph system.
Phase 1, nightmarish dreams, often with an aggressive or archontic feel to them, can be a way in which your mind interprets the signal from the immune system as it prepares to attack invaders. This is not always the case, there are many reasons why you might have these kind of dreams, but it is something to be aware of regarding conscious awareness of the internal functions of your body; the cues often arise in dreams.
Phase 2, the heightened sense of self-involvement, can present as hypochondria or some sort of existential crisis as your mind responds to the electrical and binaural signals within the atmosphere that generate the reboot. Some people experience fear, without being able to pinpoint a cause of the fear because they don’t know that their bodies work synergistically with earth changes. The interaction between earth changes and their biological correlates will be discussed in more detail in a future post.
My current (incomplete) intel is that the nexus of human behaviour is shifting from the ‘learned’ emotional responses of the amygdala, to a more balanced response seated in the relationship between the amygdala and the visceral hypothalamus. The amygdala and hypothalamus are part of the limbic system, which is the area of the brain that processes emotions, memories and instincts. The hypothalamus receives input from several sources, one is the gut via the vagus nerve – “the carnal instrument of the mirroring attention” JLL. Approximately 70% of your immune system exists as lymphoid cells and tissues in your gut and the dynamic relationships between different microbial colonies and the adaptive and innate immune system take place in the gut. This is where the learning takes place as new bacteria are recruited for internal bioremediation and then communicated to the hypothalamus via the vagus nerve, so that homeostasis can be maintained. This sense of finding a new balance between the inputs from the amygdala and the hypothalamus can initially feel uncomfortable.
Although the hypothalamus is not considered to be part of the immune system, it interacts with the immune system by inducing ‘sickness behaviour’ and in the regulation of the inflammatory response. Early stressful life events condition the hypothalmic pituitary axis functions to respond excessively to fear, setting up patterns that lead to increased anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorders in later life.
The next stage, Phase 3, is the shock to the system that breaks the fear conditioned responses of the hypothalmic pituitary axis. The shock acts as a ‘shamanic thump’ to the endopsyche; it happens en masse, but the experience of it is unique to each individual. My shock occurred when our garden was devastated by an unprecedented late frost, on 29 April this year, which affected much of Galicia. The shift in perception that came with the shock released me from the feelings of rage and impotence that had been brewing through the previous shift. The shock rebooted my system and released me from the anger and tension that had had me in its grip, so that I could unpack the intel from the shamanic realignment session of July 2016. It also brought me into a profound balance, homeostasis, that is physically, emotionally and cognitively visible. And that enabled me to handle the learning that came from the powerful aftershock that followed, just after midnight on the morning of May 13th, when my father died unexpectedly. His most precious gift to me, in life and in death, was the love of learning.
Other people around me have been shocked by falling out of a tree, falling off a ladder, having a stroke and passing a tape worm! We are all now in alternating states of killing and clearing, Phases 4 & 5. Since the shocks, my lymph system has been active; I’ve had a few mild sore throats and swollen glands, an upset stomach here and there. These are all symptoms of rebalancing as the immune system identifies and kills off harmful bacteria as it facilitates the establishment of the A11 microbial environment.
If you can recognize the pattern and follow the Sophianic Narrative, this might make sense to you, or at least enough sense for you to do your own research. If not, you will most likely experience the symptoms of your immune system rebooting, learning and clearing as signs of disease and seek inappropriate medical support. The choice is yours.
The next post on this topic will be on how to support your immune system through the reboot process.
